I'm prepared to deal with this painful mini heatwave we're having in the UK because I believe paying >£200 for something that'll be used maybe 4 weeks a year is ridiculous, but my girlfriend won't stop going on about it, and to be fair our one bedroom flat turns into an absolute sauna, so I may have to give in, so my question to any UK based air conditioner owners is, are they worth it? How much, and where?
