Asian Nations Cup : 9th - 31st January, 2015

I looked these up myself so some may not be going or I may have missed someone off the list.

Everton, Hull, Southampton, Leicester, Palace, West Ham, QPR and maybe Newcastle, losing two important players, look like the teams going to be worst hit relative to their squad size and missing first teamers.

Manchester City
Yaya Touré

Swansea
Ki Sung-yueng (A)

Tottenham Hotspur
Benoît Assou-Ekotto
Emmanuel Adebayor
Nabil Bentaleb

Hull City
Ahmed Elmohamady
Yannick Sagbo
Mohamed Diamé
Sone Aluko

Southampton
Sadio Mané
Victor Wanyama
Emmanuel Mayuka
Maya Yoshida (A)

Chelsea
Didier Drogba
John Obi Mikel
Mohamed Salah

Leicester City
Jeff Schlupp
Chris Wood (A)
Riyad Mahrez

Swansea City
Wilfried Bony

Everton
Samuel Eto'o
Christian Atsu
Arouna Koné

Stoke City
Victor Moses
Peter Odemwingie
Mame Biram Diouf

Crystal Palace
Yannick Bolasie
Mile Jedinak

Liverpool
Kolo Touré

Queens Park Rangers
Armand Traoré
Yun Suk-young (A)

West Bromwich Albion
Youssouf Mulumbu
Victor Anichebe
Brown Ideye
Stéphane Sessègnon

Newcastle United
Papiss Cissé
Cheick Tioté

West Ham United
Guy Demel
Modibo Maïga
Cheikhou Kouyaté
Diafra Sakho

City without Yaya when Aguero and Dzeko are already injured - easy for Chelsea!

Its crazy just how much disruption this causes to some teams. West Ham losing a few very key players, as are Southampton. Bony for Swansea is also a huge loss.

Great news for us if we go on a mini run in the next 4 - 5 games.

I did not say anything bad about Naismith being a bit ginger. He is Scottish so will probably be a right fat bastard eventually though.

Ali Bernabia is 46 years old. Is he still at Man City????

Amended ! I couldn't find a list of current players so used the Wikipedia one of all foreign players that had played in the PL. Some slipped though the net 😀

[article=http://www.espnfc.com/blog/football-asia/153/post/2213062/forgotten-man-nathan-burns-selected-in-australia-squad-for-afc-asian-cup]Brad Jones (Liverpool) was overlooked. The three goalkeepers are Mat Ryan (Club Brugge), Mitch Langerak (Borussia Dortmund) and Eugene Galekvoic (Adelaide United).[/article]

Morocco won't be taking part in Africa Cup of Nations (Adel Taarabt, Oussama Assaidi, Marouane Chamakh).

New Zealand (Winston Reid) aren't involved in Asian Cup too. Alex Song was left out of Cameroon's squad that was announced last week too.

So Eugene Galekvoid of Adelaide United is better than our current (when fit) first choice keeper.
