Thinks he owns the place

So, what has happened to him then? Anyone know?

I thought I read that we would take a close look at him during pre season, and he'd get his chance. Sadly that hasn't happened. If he's been injured then fine, he'll get his chance I suppose. But if not, I think it's a bit of a waste. He looks a much better prospect than El Zhar, and I'd much rather have him in the squad. And with Nabils recent injury, maybe Adam can get a chance in the upcoming friendlies. At the age of 21, it's make or break for his chances here.

He looked good against Tranmere, would be interesting to see him with better players around him.

I dunno, at 21 and still with the ressies in pre-season, it's gonna take one helluva convincing to break through.

it's a pity he's never been given a few minutes here or there to strut his stuff in the premier league ... it's his last chance with liverpool this yera, which is a pity because i think he could be a solid back up ...

he's better than el zahr

IF that is the case then it maybe more a case of his ability to play to instructions and integrate with the rest of the team rather than innate ability.

I believe Heighway had a bit of a concern over his 'refuelling' habits, and there were a couple of tantrums earlier on his career that didn't go down well. I think the feeling was he needed to listen and learn how to channel his talent, but he seemed to be happy to keep running into trouble and not work on his team play. I'd imagine his far more mature attitude on loan has impressed, but whether his old reputation has made the staff continue to view him suspiciously I don't know. I really hope he gets a chance.

Tykes hopeful on Hammill

Simon Davey is looking to push through a deal for Liverpool winger Adam Hammill, but he has ended his interest in four trialists.

Hammill made a good impression on Davey during a three-month loan spell with Barnsley last season.

He has not yet been given a squad number by Liverpool and Davey has held talks over a possible move back to Oakwell.

"I'm still looking at a few players, discussions are ongoing," Davey told The Star.

"I've said that Hammill would be a good addition to our squad, but we're also on the look-out for a striker."
