I mean it. If SOS or ShareLiverpool will do a great favour for Liverpool FC it is to gather some money and pay someone to follow this bastard for a few years. Make sure that everything he tries is "shut down". Make him suffer for three long years!!!!

TOM HICKS and George Gillett are heading back to the High Court in a move that could result in them launching a bid for damages against Liverpool’s new owners and the Royal Bank of Scotland.

The deposed former owners will be represented in court on February 9 and 10 against New England Sports Ventures, now the Fenway Sports Group, RBS and former Anfield chairman Martin Broughton.

Solicitors for the American duo want to discharge an anti-suit injunction that was taken out when Hicks launched a £1?billion lawsuit in Dallas trying to halt the sale of the club in October.

It is understood that Broughton is unconcerned and believes the motion will be defeated.

The hearing will be before Mr Justice Floyd, who ruled a £300million deal with NESV could go ahead.

After losing control of the club, Hicks claimed NESV’s takeover was an “epic swindleâ€.

In applying to discharge the suit, which currently runs indefinitely, Hicks and Gillett are not committing themselves to anything, but it shows they have not simply accepted the sale of Liverpool which saw them lose £140m.

“It is hoped that the hearing will enable the dispute between the various parties to be unravelled and the way forward to be determined,†said Keith Oliver, from solicitors Peters and Peters. “They [Hicks and Gillett] feel very wronged by the process and will consider their options.â€

Indeed. Hicks and his lawyers (I nearly put "briefs" but thought better of it) have said as much pretty well all along. It's not going to help them, though, that Mr.Justice Floyd has clearly reserved the matter to himself.

LIVERPOOL FC’s former owners were today going back to court in a move which could pave the way for them to sue the club’s new bosses for damages.

Tom Hicks and George Gillett will be represented in court against New England Sports Ventures (NESV), now the Fenway Sports Group, Royal Bank of Scotland and former Anfield chairman Martin Broughton.

The two-day case brought by RBS was starting today and was expected to be highly technical.

The hearing was before Mr Justice Floyd, who ruled the £300m deal with NESV could go ahead.

After losing control of the club, Hicks claimed NESV’s takeover was an “epic swindle†and said he was stunned it was allowed to go ahead.

Mr Hicks and Mr Gillett have never accepted the sale, which saw them lose £140m.

RBS will ask for their “anti suit†injunction to stand while the Americans will ask for it to be dismissed.
It was taken out when Mr Hicks launched a £1.6bn lawsuit in Dallas trying to halt the sale of the club in October last year.

The suit overturned a restraining order in Texas, where Mr Hicks and Mr Gillett lodged their damages claim against the English directors at Anfield along with lender RBS and successful bidder NESV. They claim the sale undervalued the price of the club and disregarded other, allegedly higher, offers.

In December, when the Americans launched the fresh court challenge, Keith Oliver, from London-based solicitors Peters and Peters, which are acting for Mr Hicks and Mr Gillett, said: “It is hoped the hearing will enable the dispute between the various parties to be unravelled and the way forward to be determined.

“They (Hicks and Gillett) feel very wronged by the process and will consider their options.â€

Mr Broughton is understood to be unconcerned by the legal threat.

The pair lost control of the club in October following a trans-Atlantic legal tussle which saw courtroom drama in London and Dallas.

At the end of the encounter, in which John Henry succeeded in his bid to buy the club, Mr Hicks said: “(I’m) Shocked. Devastated. Frustrated. I’m very disappointed. It’s hurt my family tremendously. This is a very valuable asset that was swindled away from me inan epic swindle.â€

If I remember rightly, Hicks played games like this when he lost the Texas Rangers. He didn't get anywhere then and it's doubtful he will now. The man's an "epic" chancer and the courts in any country don't like being used by such people.
