Anybody who invests regularly in the markets will tell you how easily they are affected by sentiment. It was only a few weeks ago that Pesam and others were quite rightly telling us that some stocks were grossly undervalued and were going far too cheaply. Why? Grossly overly negative sentiment and the lemming effect. It's like mass paranoia on the world's financial markets, and although there is a global recession at the moment, things aren't quite as bad as they seem, yet some people are intent on believing the world is in financial meltdown, and the lemmings simply follow the same train of thought, fuelling the fire in the process.
So, what's this all got to do with 6CM? Well, having read many posts over the last few days, it seem as though many are becoming convinced that this site has just suddenly become 'shit'. How all the decent posters have left, how everybody hurls outrageous insults at each other and the general quality of posting has gone down the pan.
What a crock of shit. Yes, a few posters have left for pastures new, yes there have been a few rows every now and then and maybe there has been a minor lack of ultra insightful or thoughtful posts, but it's nowhere near on the level that some folks perceive it to be.
By and large, this place still is full of great posters with interesting opinions. Most of us get on very well and when we don't, well, isn't that normal every now and then? Generally, any 'disagreements' tend to be sorted out and forgotten about very quickly. I still find most of the topics interesting and entertaining. I always have a laugh when reading through the days new posts and topics. Most of all, this place covers all we need to about our beloved club, and a whole lot more, and it does it in style. Why? Because it's fun.
This place is much better than it's being made to be out at the moment, and a few folks should hop off the bandwagon and see that. You fucking lemmings!
