We won't win the league and on current form look unlikely to make the top 4. I'm desperate enough to take a 9 point penalty to see the back of Hicks.
If we finish mid table and blood a few outstanding youngsters then I'll be satisfied. We can always do better but I can't remember when last we put together a long unbeaten run. The current plethora of first teamers being injured doesn't help the cause either.

The problem is that if we take the deduction, we're 9 points off safety.
We arent playing well and with Hodgson in charge there's no guarantee that this is a blip in form and we will turn things around.
We could get to January (albeit with new owners) but what if Barca/Real /City come in with attractive bids for Torres, Gerrard, Reina, then I can see them going.
We could easily do a Leeds, Newcastle.
Surely, until we get a new manager, we need all the points we can get? Mill Financial have experience in sports and it wouldnt be in their interest not to invest in the team. They're probably just going to hold Hicks to ransom with the offer of a chance to screw NESV and the board over.
