So we are looking sluggish and nervy.

We need to win 6/9 to get 100pts

We need 6 wins and a draw to beat it.

Will we do it?

We’ve got tough games left.

I’m not that fussed but it would be nice to finish the season strongly and obliterate City’s total.

City
Chelsea

They are the obvious tough games but the likes of Palace always give us a game too and Everton have improved markedly.
 
Not fussed. All we now need is 9 more points. Just do not lose any of the 9 games and we are done. Even if city win the rest.

We don’t even need that.

If we draw all 9 City can’t win all there’s so 7 draws would do if we avoid defeat against them.

Beat them and we only need 1 other win in 8.

A couple of weeks ago I got pulled into this "> 10 points, invincible treble winners" dream and got carried away with myself. Then last week happened and I nearly joined forces with @Halmeister

Now, I'd be happy if we got no more points and edged it by one point this season

Kellys heroes does not approve of this comment.

The league is won. I’d rather go all out for the champions league rather than push for records. Beating the 100 points mark would be the icing on the cake. Gaining the most points over 2 seasons award would really piss of the fumers chips but I wouldn’t make those a priority.

All away except chelsea. These are the toughest games. Nice to top 100 PTS, but as others say just win title and hopefully get by atletico and focus on CL
 
The invincible thing was bit out of order on all accounts regardless of how well we were doing, I mean we have not won it in like 30 fucking years and then the rest of the country is taking the piss because we did not achieve such a goal. However, given that we have a chance of beating the 100 points total - and also going for the CL - I think the players should use that as motivation for the rest of the season - ultimately I would never sacrifice the CL for these records but getting that record of the highest points would cement our place in history somewhat.

Think this group of players deserve that, because of last season and what they are doing this season. Also they have no FA cup to contend with so should aim to remain competitive for the rest of the season. I think we can all agree that resting players ain't very good for them as a team, seem to go off the pace a bit - and given the usual massive gap between the last game of the PL and the CL final (if we get there) - would prefer that players get full games all the way to the end of this season.
 
I'm pretty confident we'll get more than 100 points, although I'd sacrifice it for the CL. Obviously, I suppose.

Unfortunately I don't think we'll get past Atletico.

Just heard that if City lose today, we only need to win the next two games, is that right ? Would love to win it before the trip to the Etihad and see Klopp send the kids to the Etihad for that game. Yes they will get smashed up but it will be an insult to them

If they do get 3 points, we need 9 points.

Although, thinking about it, if they keep winning, when we play them at the Etihad, we could win the league with a draw or a win. I think. Maybe.
 
I think we need City to drop at least 3 points for us to be able to win it against Palace. Anything less and we can win it with a draw at City.

Preference is to win that title at Anfield, with a stadium full of Liverpool supporters, it will be wonderful to see. I know some people keep going on how insulting it would be to won at the Etihad, but would rather see a party celebration with thousands of LFC support than a half empty plastic Man City stadium.
 
I think Man U will get something today, but a draw doesn't change anything. We'd still need a draw at their gaff to win it if they didn't drop any more points.

I think manure will win for sure today, from the recent games I have watched them, they suddenly look very motivated. I would not be surprised if they win 3-1 today.
 
6 points for the title. What say you Hal .. can we get it across the line before being overcome by the zombie apocalypse ?

You are probably right - with all the internationals we have in the team, I sometimes think that they don't think the PL has as much glamour as the CL. I suspect many of them are reserving their energy for the AM game, and when we get through - think they may down tools against Everton and just up their games for the home matches and CL. I even doubt if we make it past AM that they will give a shit about beating City's points record.

They're already playing games behind closed doors in Italy and Germany. It will happen here soon, too. We might mathematically win the league before that happens, but eventually they'll have to postpone fixtures, then the league, then eventually this season will be registered null and void. It's so obvious.

We only have to get through 2 more weeks and it won’t matter. Less than 65 days to go and the season will stand.
