There's a couple of stories doing the rounds about a move for Ángel Correa.

It looks like the original source is Foot Mercato, claims are that he's available for £15m but we'll pay nearer £25m (obviously!)

48 appearances in all comps last year (30 as a sub), 10 goals and 8 assists. I think he was played mainly on the right wing, but I've not followed Atleti too closely so not sure.

AM's transfer embargo may make any outgoings tough. Any La Liga fans around that can shed any further light on him? Is he worth a punt?

He is quite highly rated at Atletico - surprised to see him being linked with a move away.

I remember he was out for a long time due to a problem with his heart when he got to A.Madrid. Has that all been resolved?

Yeah , I say we just go for some mad overload on the right hand side jobby this season.

Get eem

THis would make @jimmy very happy as he was talking about him ~2 years ago.
Young exciting player - with bags of potential.

Signing this lad would make me very happy indeed!
He caught my eyes about 4 years ago while playing for San Lorenzo in Argentina, and I was hoping our scouts would spot him.
He's a street cat - very much like Luis Suarez.
He then went to Atletico Madrid, and indeed had a pause in his career since they found some medical issue in his heart.
I believe he's recovered and got the green light to play professional football again, but our medical team should obviously review his condition.

Sign him!

Is a heart condition a prerequisite now for a target ?

I'd still take him for around the 20m mark

How much would you be happy to pay for him in today's market @jimmy ?

The man-child inside me has had him as my main striker over the last two or three iterations of FIFA, so I was a bit excited when I saw this (probably tenuous!) link - ha.

If he's a heart attack waiting to happen, I'm sure we will seek him out, touch him up and pay for him.

No idea, mate. The market has gone crazy!
I have a feeling this lad might make it to the top. Hopefully be the next Suarez... 🙂 so assuming he's got the green light from the doctors, I really hope we sign him.

He probably needs to go play regularly somewhere.

If we've got money to burn, I wouldn't be against signing him and loaning him out somewhere for a year or two.

One of the greatest players I've ever managed in Football Manager. Shedding a tear just seeing his name.

I would like us to sign Fredy Guarin for this reason alone. 20/20 long-range shooting, that was something! Too bad he was never like that in real life.

Never seen or heard of him. But 4 goals in 31 games seems a bit shit.
8 Goals and 11 Assists is not bad

For that kind of money no thanks.

I'd rather sing 1-2 top class first team players than bring in another bucket load of potential.

I've got a feeling you might be having a hard time accepting the new state of the transfer market.

'Top class' players are very rare now at this price, there's too much money in the game.

Let me put this into perspective for you.

2016
Leicester City 1st £93m total PL prize money + TV rights.

2017
Sunderland 20th £99m total PL prize money + TV rights. (Over £30m more than Villa received the previous year.)

Transfer fees have found a new level. It's dickheads like us buying dross at £30m for years - and now the likes of Everton getting in on it - that have helped set this new level, but it's here to stay for a while at least.

£15m bought you a Jordon Ibe last year.
