If Leicester get anything like 80-90 points they could have been considered title contenders in most seasons. City and us are still just anomalies points wise. Lets see how LCFC do...
But by my definition of title contention... they have been the 3rd best team in the league and if the 3rd best team perform in all but 4 matches that is close to title contention normally. A la Athletico/Valencia winning the league in Spain occassionally.
But they are keeping up with that moving benchmark!

The gulf in class between us and Leicester reminds me of when we played 2nd place Nottingham forest back in the late 80s . won 5-0 but it could have been 10. 7 or 8-0 would have been a fair result against Leicester the other night the gulf was that big
