Will arrive this summer? Choice of up to five. Not who you want, who do you think will we end up with.

Then who you'd rather have.

Mine

Barry
Tevez (Villa, look don't touch, or Eto'o)
(Silva)
Johnson (Alves. hunch)

I watched that film with Denzel Washington last night... Deja Vu?

Good was it?

Hey Ho.

There won't be 5 (unless you count the 20 x 16 years old as well).

Tevez or Silva
Barry
Johnson

Alves? No chance in hell if it's Dani.

Btw, ignore Paddy - he's been tough on all posters lately.

Shame we missed him thank's for the warning, P.addy
M.aybee
T.erse.

just a bit of fun was board. Also it would be interesting to know who the shrewdest posters were on here.

*dives into bunker*

Heh. But I agree, Selling Lucas, buying Barry, Tevez, and Johnson would be an Ok Summer.

I shall get my cystal ball out methinks.

I'm gonna go for.......

Messi down the left
Ribery as backup for Kuyt on the right
Alves and Johnson as cover for Degen int he RB slot
A couple of south American wonder kids

That is all.

Barry, Silva, Johnson + either Tevez on loan or Nigredo(speliing?)

Just done a wiki on him prospects. doesn't look too good mate.

Nigredo - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nigredo, or blackness, in alchemy means putrefaction or decomposition. Just over Dave.

Garth Barry in to replace Lucas.
Carlos Tevez in to replace Ryan Babel.
A young CB to replace Hyppia (opportunity for Kelly or do we neesd someone more experienced?)
Give Darby an opportunity at RB to understudy Arbeloa, rather than buying a new RB.
Maybe Kuba to add some pace to the right side and compete with Kuyt.

and then if we haver any money left, Silva would be nice.

I'd be unbelievably surprised if Lucas was sold.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say that there isn't a fucking hope of it happening this summer.

Micah Richards, Vargas, Eto'o and Scheweisteiger.
You say his name every time but he just signed a long term extension. He's not leaving Bayern ... at least not for another 4 years.

Ha ha. Ironically, I've a postgrad degree in Jungian analytic theory.

I'm also perpetually in despair at the moment.

I think the mancs will sign tevez, unfortunately.

Everyone has Johnson in their list. Are they just confident we'll be buying him or is he really that good?
I haven't seen much of him but what I did see, he wasn't really all that. Will he be worth the £10-12mil we're going to have to spend?

I don't think its a case of being that good but it provides two options
a) he will help our english qouta in the CL
b) he will provide competition/cover (or become first choice) for arbeloa.

Aside from the English thing, I really don't get all this interest in Glen Johnson. Ok, he might be an improvement on Arby, but it's not a position we desperately need to address.

It's winger all the way

Exactly, why waste all that money just to improve the english quota?

If that's all we want to do, I'd rather we promote someone from the reserves (Darby?).

yes it is. there should be two players for every position.
if rafa wants to promote darby (can't see it myself) then it wouldn't be a problem but he is clearly not going to do that.
the league is about keeping momentum when players get injuried and we definately are not as strong at right back when arbeloa doesn't play, although some people seem to think he is rubbish I personally think we've dropped points.

Owen, Johnson, Silva, Barry.

I'd be happy.
You wouldn't be happy when Owen demands 100k a week and then gets broken in pre-season.

that's may be the reason that makes rafa push out the boat for tevez rather than silva.
