I love how the media is dismissing his "Title within 4 years" comment as a misspeak, suggesting that he meant just a piece of silverware. Never mind that he referenced twenty odd year waits in the sentence prior.

He meant it, he believes it, and I love it.

With that line he's saying we're still a big club, and that if we can't get a title by then he's basically not doing his job. Terrific.

TSD: not to disagree, but I think it's more a comment on the quality of the existing squad as a basis to work from, rather than a comment on LFC's status. He already made it clear that he still regards us as a big club by being keen to come here.

It isn't often that I quote Ginsoak but I like the fact that he's said he's worried by the appointment.

Can definitely be read that way. Either way, Klopp is awesome.

    Until we lose.

I was hoping that might happen.  They really wanted him when Moyes was given the boot, and Ginsoak's been saying he's concerned Klopp will be a success with us.  Sweet.

Is this the best ever start for a Liverpool manager before his first match?

Like everyone else it seems, I'm thrilled with this appointment. Buzzing. And still in a state of shock he's our new Manager.

There'll be a few teething problems along the way, but I've no doubt Klopp is the man to bring the glory days back. I honestly can't see how he'll fail. Players won't want to let this man down.

    Bring on Spurs.

It's definitely been the most positive appointment of Manager I can remember. No doubt heightened by the social media madness of 2015, but still.

    Nooooooo

This seems like our last proper crack at it to me...as in the Title, not this season, but in the next few.
The days of not being able to touch United, Chelsea and Arsenal, City in recent years are gone. They're all a bit meh, and we need to capitalise. Bringing in a man of Klopp's calibre is a start, and a significant one, get the transfer dealings right for a change and we're laughing.

Now that I have time to read and listen to what he has to say, this is what I have to say, "WELCOME JÜRGEN!!!"

He is definitely no Brendan Rodgers or Mourhino. What a breath of fresh air. Let's now see some proper football. Consistently.

This feels better, but arguably Rafa's record was stronger before he arrived in the sense he overhauled Barcelona and Real Madrid whereas Klopp had to overhaul Munich. I know there's little in it, but there's certainly in gulf in the difference between the good feeling following the appointment. It's probably down to Klopp being more open and likable, initially, and the fact we're in a worse standing than when Rafa took over.
