I guess our title capitulation has got everyone down. But hey, a trophy is a trophy.

I'm guessing that our Covid trio Alisson, Matip and Firmino are still out. Same goes for Thiago.
Philips is also out, I think.

Whilst the recent draws killing our title push are demoralising, we are witnessing one of our greatest ever teams and I am ready to watch us bounce back in the cups (and bring home #7)

Arsenal will probably go full strength for this and we should save our own massive rotation for Shrewbury (e.g. Neco, Bradley, Beck, Morton etc)

Some problems when it comes to the attack though!

Arsenal's quad will be without (pending any CV infections) :

I hope the break Modo is giving you is letting you get back into form ;)

Our injury / absentee list is horrendous though ! It makes Arsenal's look like a full strength squad.

I think you have a point, but Keita is in Africa right?

As mentioned since we don't have a league game after this our stronger team should play here.

I would play Tsimikas over Robbo since he's in form and Robbo is usually poor first game back after missing out with injury. Not sure if it applies to suspension or not.

I would probably roll out the same team as against Chelsea, with Ox, Jones and Bobby coming in. Maybe give Virgil a week off to get his shit together. Edit: I see Matip and Bobby will still be with the Rona.

Trent Konate Gomez Tsimikas
Hendo Fab Milner

Would rather give Milner a break so he can lead the boys against Shrewsbury:

I was in that mindset too until I assumed Minamino was injured and would miss this game. I guess we can put Gordon in with the big boys and hope he shines.

I would like to try out Jones in the Mane position during Afcon anyway

So maybe we'll see Elliott make the bench ? Would be nice. If Minamino was that close he may also make the bench. However between injuries, CV and AFCON we are scratching around to find a decent team !

Neco -------------------- Konate --------------------VvD ------------- Tsimikas

I doubt that we'll see Elliott until he plays for the reserves.

Our frontline could be something like this if Minamino isnt back yet.

Ox Jota Jones

The Premier league teams must be dreading the FA cup given the insane amount of Covid cases and only 60% of players being double jabbed.
Will be loads of postponements and probably loads of cases after the games.

Yeah, was gonna say, surely more people are going to test positive?

Without Salah and Mane, we don't have players who can play wide forward effectively. Trying to shoehorn players in those positions is just going to frustrate.

If Neco passed a fitness test I'd try this

Kelleher

Trent Konate V Dijk Tsimikas

Neco Hendo Fabinho Jones

Minamino

Jota

And there it is. How many hugs did Klopp give out over the past week? I'm surprised anyone at the club doesn't have it! Must be those double jabbed fighting it off - 50/50.

Maybe Mo, Mane & Keita could be on an early plane back to Liverpool.

I don't think Keita got a lot of hugs.

Apparently all the 1st team goalkeepers have it including Actherburg

This game will be called off
