Makes everything look so easy.. he catches everything with ease, great with his feet..

Look at his positioning when we are on the attack.. he doesn't just own the penalty box, he owns his own half..

Incredible Goalkeeper.. calm and cool as you like

Very impressed him. Was nervous every time Spurs got close to our goal. Made the saves look so easy.

The balls seem to stick to his body like a magnet no matter how hard they shot at him. Any balls spilled yesterday in the second half would have resulted in a spurs goal.

It's for the most part very effective and he's ace, but it's why he got sent off, and he's defo gonna get lobbed soon.

Kudos to Klopp for landing this guy. VVD would have always made a huge difference, but less so if he were constantly looking over his shoulder. But with this guy between the sticks, it lets the defence worry about what’s in front of them and not what the keeper is going to do or not do.
I know folk will point to the chances that Spurs missed second half, but it’s easy to miss those chances when you’re having to score past the best CB in the world and then the best keeper on the planet. Its bound to get into your head.
Amazing keeper who never fails to surprise me with just how good he is. Confidence, shot stopping and decision making are top drawer. Even the shots he decides to leave, knowing they’re going just wide and in doing so, saving a corner being conceded.
Great player.

Have a feeling Man City and other capable teams will be looking out for those moments.

Sometimes it seemed against spurs that the defence stood off the attacker almost inviting a shot from just outside the box. Knowing they won't beat "the Fonz" A little reminiscent of last year with vvd and sissoko. He gives so much confidence to the team.

Alisson is great to have, but VVD has had the single biggest impact of anyone. Since he arrived from Southampton our defense stability completely changed. That first half-season VVD played, Karius had 10 clean sheets in 19 games allowing only 14 goals, then Alisson came in and did his thing, then he went down injured and Adrian won his 8 league starts.

Can Alisson catch Hendo II?
Worth noting that Alisson has only started 13 premier league games this season, also it's technically 8 clean sheets because he didn't concede a goal agains Norwich when he got injured or against Brighton when he got sent off.

Hijacking this thread to share these highlights :p From Mignolet and Karius to Alisson and Adrian

Compare this to Mignolet who had a 56% save percentage. Which was the worst in the league at the time.
I love this guy - except for the Jesus bollocks.

Plot the line from Gunn to McCarthy and it helps see why Saints are now on such a good run

Incredible stats, really incredible. It feels so good to be so confident in your goalkeeper.

BTW I just thought yesterday that Guaita is underrated in this league. He's solid and a big reason for Palace's success.

Yeah, came on a free transfer too. Kepa, on the other hand... ...

This is why Henderson should be in goal for England, but Southgate will persist with T. Rex arms.

Yeah, but that might make United recall him from his loan, and he looks good.

Mind you, there's little point in him coming back when De Gea's on a massive long contract

What does that Expected Goals Prevented stat mean?

Allison has saved less goals than expected despite having the best save percentage in the league?

EH?

I could be wrong, but I think it means that Sheffield concede more dangerous chances that should result in goals (which Henderson is saving), whilst Alisson is making saves from shots that are less likely to result in goals. Or something.

Yeah.

[article]It is calculated by dividing the number of saves by the total number of shots on goal. Although the statistic is called "save percentage", it is given as a decimal (in the same way as an on-base percentage in baseball). Thus, . 933 means a goaltender saved 93.3 percent of all shots they faced.[/article]

Another use of xGOT is as a tool for analysing goalkeeper performances. We can use it to highlight the goalkeepers who have under-conceded considering the quality of the shots on target they’ve faced. This can be seen by calculating the number of goals prevented (calculated as xGOT conceded from shots on target faced, minus goals conceded).

This metric allows us to distinguish between the goalkeepers who are making high quality saves and those whose save counts may have been inflated by easy, low quality shots.

Using xGOT in this way allows us to give specific credit to goalkeepers for their performances, whereas more traditional measures such as clean sheets may be biased by team form or defensive strengths.

De Gea is definitely declining, but I think it would take some seismic shift to replace him in the next 2-3 seasons. Henderson should be between the jumpers for the Euros based on stats, form, and just on the eye. Let’s see if Southgate has the cojones to play him.

He's ace at saving actual goals, but you have to look deeper. When it comes to expected goals, perhaps blocked by Virgil, maybe shut down by robbo, or, more likely, the third eye of stockluminati park, he's basically karius on salvia.

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson is using his Premier League winter break to train with his brother in Brazil.

Globo Esporte report that the 27-year-old has been training alongside his older brother Muriel, 32, also a goalkeeper at Brazilian Serie A club Fluminense in Rio de Janeiro.

Alisson has claimed he “doesn't want to lose his form."

The Brazil number one has conceded just six goals in 17 Premier League games so far this season and is joint leader as he looks to retain the Golden Glove – he currently has nine clean sheets along with Dean Henderson and Nick Pope despite the Sheffield United and Burnley men having played 23 and 25 games each respectively.
