After ending their four-game losing streak in Frankfurt, Liverpool need to reignite their title defence. He is the future but Robbo is clearly still the best left back we have for big games. His motivational edge for the team is enough to warrant starts with the funk we are in.

Unlike many others his urgency levels remain off the charts, he just doesn’t have the engine or recovery of a few years ago.

I’m delighted he stayed and hopefully he stays fit to keep Kerkez pushing.
