U18s 5-1 Stoke. Terrible camera angle.
Excellent free kick by Bradshaw, and brilliant goal by Sonni-Lambie.

First time I'm seeing this kid's name -- La'more Forrester (no. 11), 17 years old. Very pacy, looks like another in the line of speedy, confident left wingers to come from the Academy. He actually got his U18 debut when he was 15, coming on as a sub. Had another very short sub appearance at the same level a year later, and I think is now going to be a starter for the U18s.

In the Stoke game, the other kid with pace and the ridiculous hair is AJ Yeguo (no. 10). Both Yeguo and Forrester have been with the club since 6. Not much I can find about this kid except that he's apparently of Polish descent (source: Anfield Watch). Hopefully we'll see more highlight clips of him in future, which would suggest he's doing well. 🙂

U21s playing at home in a couple of minutes against Burnley U21

Nyoni captaining the team in this game. No Ngumoha, so he's probably on the bench for the Newcastle game.
Danns starts, Will Wright on the bench.

And we take the lead with a comical own goal from Burnley. Ramsay with a misplaced pass, Burnley player tries to play a long high ball back to his keeper from his midfield and it loops beyond the keeper.

Nyoni is playing in Gravenberch's position. Danns has had a couple of chances. One nice turn and shot saved by the keeper, another similar one just over the bar. Other than that, game has been rather slow and boring. Not much to get excited about, unfortunately.

To be fair the Lee Dixonesque blunder has been the high point of this match. That and the car alarm going off next to the pitch that actually made me look outside my house.

1 - 1 at half time. Long ball from the back and two guys are behind Ramsay (RB) and Pinnington (CB). Not sure if there's an offside because the camera angle is shit, but anyway, one pass later it's a goal.

1-2 to Burnley, nice finish off a quick break started when Danns failed to control the ball in midfield. Two to three Burnley lads were lining up to shoot from the edge of the box totally unmolested. Awful midfield collapse and Nyoni should've made a stronger effort to cover one of them, instead of jogging back.

All of our threat has come down on our left with Trent Kone-Doherty's pace. We've played quicker this half and had a couple of nice chances saved, so nothing to show for them yet.

Their keeper has made three good saves this half. We seem to be getting picked off on the counter.

If he ever makes the first team, Trent Kone Doherty's (TKD) song should use the Kung Fu Fighting tune.

These lot are actually demonstrating the worst failings of our first team. I wonder if it's something in the tactics.

That’s a fabulous goal by Morrison. Screaming for him to pass to Danns but he slots it.

Taste of their own medicine for Burnley this. Yeah should probably have passed it to Danns, but can't argue with the sharp finish. We're doing better attacking-wise this half, but as @Venton96 said, we're mirroring the first team's vulnerability to the counter.

Oh my goodness. We're not getting much "pure profit" out of our defenders in the next few years yah?

Morrison on the other flank doesn't have Kone Doherty's pace, but he looks like he can swing in some pretty good crosses.

12 minutes to go but I think there are still goals to come in this game. Very different second half to the first.

Will Wright gets it all wrong right at the end.

Second half petered out after the subs. Our keeper never made a save and their’s made 8.

Lost 3-2. Kobe Doherty the brightest spark of the game.

We're getting relegated defending like that. The wide forwards are looking good though; hope to see them in the Carabao and/or FA Cup games to see how they do against senior players.

As I said, kid packs a good cross. Also in that clip in short flashes -- Trent Kone-Doherty kills a ball dead like a boss.

@King Binny -- any chance of a highlights clip of Trent Kone-Doherty vs Burnley U21s? Been looking for one to post here but haven't had any luck. He put in an excellent performance on the left in the second half of that game.

Extended highlights from our U21s game vs Burnley U21s a few days ago. First half was rather dull, lit up by the brilliant Burnley own goal. Second half, Kieran Morrison (right wing, #7) and Trent Kone-Doherty (left wing, #11) played very well.

Their keeper played a blinder, and we couldn't defend for nuts.
