Jurgen Klopp's first-ever starting XI: Vs Spurs

🇧🇪 Simon Mignolet

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Nathaniel Clyne
🇸🇰 Martin Skrtel
🇫🇷 Mamadou Sakho
🇪🇸 Alberto Moreno

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 James Milner
🇧🇷 Lucas Leiva
🇩🇪 Emre Can

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Adam Lallana
🇧🇷 Philippe Coutinho
🇧🇪 Divock Origi

I remember him talking (lying) about what a cracking group of players it was. He then dismantled everything and replaced everyone with someone better. Except milner and origi as squaddies, and I think you could argue they contributed just a bit.

Dont forget Joey G

He’s have kept Can and Coutinho too if he could.

And both betrayed him
Can had a decent career and made a CL final.

Coutinho…. well… er.. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Joe Gomez still here is amazing he’s shown such longevity considering his biggest Achilles heel has been injuries. He must be the most durable yet breakable player ever.

Actually he didn’t dismantle Lallana either. He loved Banana and didn’t replace him until his body completely gave up the ghost on the pressing game. So that’s half the team.

Well, no manager worth his salt will come in and call them all shit. He'll get them onside and try to squeeze the max out of them, assessing what he wants and how he can improve the team/squad.

He made approx 40M (at least) a year with is, making a total close to 360M.

What's the point in working THAT hard when you amass that much wealth?

Yeah he Gomez is like Bruce Wilis and Samuel L Jackson in that film where one guy does not break and the other guy cannot resist anything and can just break.

Gomez was a mainstay in the 2020 winning league team. Probably could have done a better job at right back today from the start - but the fear of him getting broken means we won’t see much of him now, just in case one of our two senior centre backs get injured.

He’s said several times recently that he doesn’t miss it at all, quite the opposite. For now certainly, his managerial career is over and he’s in retirement.

He’s an absolute star, he and his family gave everything to this club and city.

He aged about ten years by the end, I’m so pleased he seems to have reversed that now!

I’m grateful I lived through the Klopp years, I suspect that’s how people who saw us under Shanks felt.

Jurgen Klopp says it is "theoretically possible" that he could one day return as Liverpool manager.

The 58-year-old walked away from Anfield in 2024, ending a transformative nine-year spell at the club that included a Champions League success and the Reds' first league title in 30 years.

He has not worked as a head coach since but has taken on roles as head of global soccer with the Red Bull group and in an advisory capacity with the German Football League.

Liverpool won the Premier League last season under Arne Slot but many fans who revere Klopp would welcome the notion that he may eventually pick up where he left off.

In a wide-ranging interview on The Diary of a CEO podcast, he told Steven Bartlett: "I said I will never coach another team, a different team, in England. So that means if then it's Liverpool...yeah.

"Theoretically it's possible."

He went on: "I'm 58, that means I could make the decision in a few years, I don't know. Do I have to make the decision today? Then I will not coach again. But thank God, I don't have to do that. I can just see what the future brings."
