Asier Illarramendi - Real Sociedad (reportedly €17 million, plus add-ons)
Article: Real Sociedad and Real Madrid have confirmed the transfer of Asier Illarramendi back to Anoeta on a six-year contract.

Illarra left La Real for Madrid two years ago in a €30m transfer but fell down the pecking order this summer following the arrival of Mateo Kovacic, with Casemiro also brought back from Porto.

Competition also from Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Isco and James Rodriguez saw Illarra’s appearances limited.

La Real have confirmed he will wear the No 4 shirt on his return and intend to present the 25-year-old on Wednesday evening.

Neither club has confirmed a fee but earlier reports had put it around the €17m mark.

Lucas Digne - Roma (reportedly €2.5m loan with option to buy)
Article: Roma have officially signed Lucas Digne from PSG, a €2.5m loan with option to buy.

The 22-year-old full-back flew in for his medical on Tuesday and completed the paperwork today.

“I chose Roma because it’s an historic club,” he told Roma TV.

“They are also in the Champions League and have very passionate fans, which is very important for me.

“I know that in this city and at this club there are all the ingredients needed to win.”

The Giallorossi announced the move was a loan for €2.5m with option to buy at the end of the season.

However, unusually for Roma, they did not state the figure for this option to buy.

It is widely reported to be in the region of €15m.

    Young-Jae Seo - Hamburg
    [IMG]
Article: Twenty year old South Korean Young-Jae Seo has joined HSV after agreeing terms on a deal which will keep him at the Volksparkstadion until June 30th 2018. He will play for the reserve team in order to gather match practice before hopefully making his first team breakthrough.

The club have announced the signing of 20 year old South Korean talent Young-Jae Seo on a three year deal. The left back has been on trial at HSV for three weeks and has impressed head coach Bruno Labbadia. He follows in the footsteps of compatriot Heung-Min-Son who now plays for Bayer Leverkusen.

"He worked very hard, has a good left foot and is keen to learn", Labbadia told HSV.de this week. Seo passed the obligatory medical before putting pen to paper on a deal which expires on June 30th 2018. He will be under the wing of reserve boss Joe Zinnbauer to get used to playing in Germany. He will train with them today as he has been doing since he arrived in Hamburg. The youngster is considered to be a defensive future prospect. He joins the Rothosen from Hanyang University in Seoul and has already been capped by his country at under-19 and under-21 Level.

    Fabio Coentrao - Monaco (loan)
Article: Monaco have agreed a deal to sign Fabio Coentrao on loan from Real Madrid, the Ligue 1 side have announced.

Monaco were in need of reinforcements at left-back after agreeing to sell Layvin Kurzawa to Paris Saint-Germain and have beaten Inter Milan to the signing of Coentrao.

A club statement read: "AS Monaco are delighted to announce that the club has reached agreement with Real Madrid to take Portuguese international Fabio Coentrao on loan.

"The left-back will have a medical on Thursday, before joining AS Monaco for the 2015-16 season."

Real have also confirmed the transfer has been agreed on their official Twitter account.

The Portugal international, 27, moved to the Bernabeu from Benfica in 2011 but has suffered a number of injury problems during his time in Spain.

Fernando Llorente - Sevilla (free transfer)
Article: Sevilla have completed the signing of Fernando Llorente from Juventus on a free transfer.

Llorente, 30, has signed a three-year contract with a €20 million buyout clause, Sevilla announced on their official website.

Juventus confirmed that they agreed to terminate the Spain international's contract to allow the former Athletic Bilbao striker to return to La Liga.

Llorente had joined Juve from Athletic in 2013, scoring 27 goals in 92 games in all competitions for the Italian side.

However, he fell down the pecking order last season and, although Carlos Tevez left for Boca Juniors this summer, Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri has Alvaro Morata, Mario Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala available for the current campaign.

Sevilla had been looking to reinforce their attack after allowing Carlos Bacca to join AC Milan in the summer and Llorente will compete with Kevin Gameiro and Borussia Dortmund loanee Ciro Immobile for a place in Unai Emery's team.

Gameiro, speaking prior to the completion of the deal, told reporters: "If he comes it will be good for the team because we have a lot of games in different competitions this season and we need a good squad."

    Lucas Silva - Marseille (loan)
Article: Marseille have signed Lucas Silva from Real Madrid on a season-long loan deal.

Silva moved to the Bernabeu from Cruzeiro in his native Brazil in January but the midfielder was surplus to requirements for new Madrid coach Rafa Benitez for the coming campaign.

The 22-year-old will play under former Madrid midfielder Michel at the Stade Velodrome as he looks to secure more regular first-team football.

Silva wrote on Twitter: "Ready for a new and exciting challenge with Marseille!"

Silva was not handed a shirt number at Madrid for the current season as Danilo, Casemiro and James Rodriguez were allocated the club's three permitted places for non-European Union players.

However, Marca has reported that there is no purchase option in the deal and Madrid are hoping the player can develop by playing in Ligue 1 and the Europa League this season.

Michael Turner - Sheff Wed (loan)
Article: Sheffield Wednesday have signed Premier League defender Michael Turner.

The towering talent joins the Owls on a season-long loan from Norwich City.

Turner is a vastly experienced operator and approaching his 400th league appearance through his career so far.

After rising through the ranks with Charlton Athletic, the 31-year-old enjoyed loan spells with Leyton Orient and Brentford – signing for the latter on a permanent basis prior to joining Hull City in July 2006.

A £4m move to Sunderland followed three years later before the stopper switched to Norwich on a Bosman free transfer in the summer of 2012.

Fulham recruited Turner on loan last season and he now heads north with Wednesday in time for the Owls’ home game in the Championship against Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Aleix Garcia - Man City (reportedly £2.1 million)
Article: Manchester City have signed Aleix Garcia from Villarreal, the Premier League side have confirmed.

Spain under-18 international winger Garcia is expected to join City's Elite Development Squad.

The 18-year-old becomes City's sixth summer signing after Raheem Sterling, Fabian Delph, Nicolas Otamendi and fellow youngsters Enes Unal and Patrick Roberts, while they are also in talks with Wolfsburg for Kevin De Bruyne.

Garcia made his Villarreal debut in the final 13 minutes of last season when they lost 4-0 to Athletic Bilbao and also appeared for the club in the Emirates Cup preseason tournament in July.

He wrote on his Twitter account, "Starting a new stage at Manchester City, thanks for everything to my family at Villarreal," and added his former club's motto, "always moving forward."

Garcia had been at Villarreal for a decade, including City manager Manuel Pellegrini's reign there, and had represented their B and C teams as well as playing for Spain at under-16, under-17 and under-18 levels.

City are yet to confirm Garcia's fee but the Manchester Evening News earlier reported that he would cost £2.1 million.

Aleksandar Tonev - Frosinone (undisclosed fee)
Article: Aleksandar Tonev's Aston Villa career is over with the Bulgarian flop joining an Italian top flight club

Frosinone Calcio, who have just been promoted to Serie A, revealed the move on their official website.

And Villa confirmed that he has left permanently, wishing the winger 'good luck'.

Tonev failed to live up to expectations at Villa after being signed by formr boss Paul Lambert in the summer of 2013.

The 25-year-old wideman made just eight starts and 11 substitute appearances for the claret and blues.

He went on a season-long loan to Celtic in 2014-15 and was banned for seven games for racially abusing an opponent.

Tonev's Villa contract was set to run until the summer of 2017.

In a statement the Italian club said: "Frosinone Calcio announces that it has acquired the player Aleksandar Tonev."

    Pavel Pogrebnyak - Dynamo Moscow
    [IMG]
Article: Reading Football Club can confirm that striker Pavel Pogrebnyak has left to join Russian club Dynamo Moscow.

31-year-old Pogrebnyak had a year remaining on his deal at Madejski Stadium, having joined in the summer of 2012. He played 87(+19) times for the Royals, scoring 28 goals, and we would like to wish him the best of luck back in his homeland.

Now he has the opportunity of a great move back to Russia, I can only thank him for his efforts and wish him well for the future.”

“I would like to place on record that Pavel is a true gentleman, he always gave his best for Reading Football Club and we wish him well.”

Shaun Maloney - Hull (undisclosed fee)

The 32-year-old midfielder has penned a two-year deal and arrives for an undisclosed fee.

Capable of playing out wide or through the middle, Maloney began his career at Celtic and made over 100 appearances before earning a move to the English Premier League when signing for Aston Villa in 2007.

He returned to Celtic a year later but was back in the Premier League in 2011 when signing for Wigan Athletic, before his move to the US came in January of this year.

Layvin Kurzawa - PSG (reportedly €25 million)
Article: PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN is delighted to announce that Layvin Kurzawa has joined the club on a five-year deal until 30 June 2020.

The French full-back completed his transfer from AS Monaco on Thursday at Paris Saint-Germain headquarters, where he signed a five-year contract, after completing the traditional medical examination earlier in the day.

The 22-year-old France international (2 caps), came through the youth ranks at AS Monaco, where he began his professional career in the 2010-11 season. Layvin Kurzawa quickly became first-choice left-back at the principality club. On 14 November 2014, he earned his first senior international cap against Albania. Layvin, who turns 23 on 4 September and hails from Fréjus, has played 63 Ligue 1 matches (6 goals) and 11 UEFA Champions League matches (2 goals).

Layvin Kurzawa declared: "I am very happy to have joined a club, and a project, as ambitious as Paris Saint-Germain. I will continue to progress alongside some of the best players in the world. Signing for the capital club marks a new step in my career. I can't wait to play my first match at the Parc des Princes, a stadium I have always loved, and help bring all the trophies we are fighting for this season to the Paris Saint-Germain fans."

"I am particularly happy that Layvin Kurzawa has joined our club," said Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi. "He is one of Europe's most promising players in his position and his status as a full France international confirms his ability to play at the highest level. The recruitment of Layvin once again highlights the club's desire to sign the stars of tomorrow and have top quality options for every position on the pitch. This fourth summer signing further strengthens our ambitions for the current season."

    Emyr Huws - Huddersfield (loan)
Article: Huddersfield Town has today completed the signing of Welsh international midfielder Emyr Huws on a Standard Loan from Wigan Athletic.

The 21 year-old left-footed central midfielder joins the Club until 12 May 2016, with a recall available during January 2016 as per the terms of the agreement.

Huws, who has been capped by his country four times, has missed the early part of the 2015/16 season completing rehabilitation from an ankle injury suffered in pre-season. He has now resumed training, but will not be available for Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship game at home to Queens Park Rangers.

Huddersfield Town Manager Chris Powell commented:“I’m delighted to be able to bring Emyr to the Club, as he’s a high quality footballer who can add immediately to our First Team.

“Although he operates in central midfield, Emyr is a naturally left-footed player and addresses a missing balance in our options. He has the physical attributes you need for the Championship. Also, he’s a good set-piece taker.

“Adding a natural left-sided midfield player has been an urgent priority area all summer. Getting the right man and then getting him in can take time. We have been working on this deal for some weeks. We've had to wait for Emyr's fitness to reach a point where we are able to do the deal and we have had to work hard to reach an agreement that works for Wigan, us and the player.

“Emyr's arrival adds quality and extra depth alongside our other central midfielders who have played in that area this season; Jacob Butterfield, Jonathan Hogg, Dean Whitehead and Kyle Dempsey.”

Born in Llanelli, Emyr started his career in the Swansea City Academy but moved to Manchester City’s Academy in 2009.

He turned professional at the Etihad Stadium and went onto Captain City’s Under-21 side, but his first taste of senior football came through 13 games in a three month loan spell at League 2 Northampton Town in late 2012.

Huws made his Manchester City debut as a substitute in an FA Cup Third Round replay against Blackburn Rovers in January 2014, but then moved on a Youth Loan to Sky Bet Championship side Birmingham City later that month.

He spent the rest of the season with the Blues, making 17 starts and scoring twice. That form earned him the Club’s Player of the Month in February 2014, with his stunning strike away at Middlesbrough being voted Birmingham’s ‘Goal of the Season’.

    Jordy Hiwula - Wigan (loan)
Article: Wigan Athletic can confirm that England Under 19 striker Jordy Hiwula has joined the club on loan until the end of the season in a deal that sees Emyr Huws move the other way, also on loan until the end of the campaign.

20-year-old Hiwula joined the Terriers last month having come through the ranks at Manchester City. He has represented England at Under 18 and Under 19 level and also scored nine goals in 19 appearances on loan for Walsall last season.

Gary Caldwell said: “Jordy’s a young player full of potential , he can play centrally or come in from wide.

“His football education has been excellent, coming through the City Academy where he was prolific at every age. His time at Walsall last season gives him crucial experience in this league and tells me he can continue to transfer that potential into goals for us. With Shaq Coulthirst possibly not returning, we needed to move quickly to fill the gap in the squad.”

21-year-old Huws has not featured for Latics since the away draw against Ipswich Town last January after surgery on an ankle injury.

“As regards Emyr, he told me clearly he did not want to stay at the club in League One,” Caldwell added. “I feel that is disrespectful to his team mates, myself, the chairman and the supporters.

“He is a quality player but the bottom line is that we need 100% commitment and every single member of the squad pulling in the same direction. It has been a disappointing situation but we have got a tremendous group of players in our dressing room and we move on.”

Huws signed for Latics, initially on loan, from Manchester City in the summer of 2014, which was made into a permanent transfer on transfer deadline day in September 2014. His first season at the club was interrupted by injury, however, and he featured in only 16 league matches in total, including one as a substitute.

    Mustapha Carayol - Huddersfield (loan)
Article: Huddersfield Town has today completed the signing of Mustapha Carayol from Middlesbrough on a Standard Loan.

The loan is scheduled to run until 31 May 2015, although there is a break clause available to both clubs during January 2016.

Carayol, 26, is a right-footed winger usually playing on the left side of the pitch. Known for his power and pace, he has a direct style of play.

Huddersfield Town Manager Chris Powell commented:“Mustapha is a player who has always been a threat when my team has opposed him due his natural ability, his raw pace and trickery. I’m sure he will excite our fans and cause problems for other teams.

“Mustapha is someone who has always been on the list. He went out on loan last year and we’ve kept an eye on his situation. Now was the right time to act and bring him in.

“I think it’s vital in the Championship that you have as much pace as possible in your team – particularly away from home.

“We have good players, but we know we’ve wanted to add in various positions. It’s hard to get deals over the line – there’s a lot that goes on.”

On whether Carayol’s arrival could lead to other Town players leaving on loan to gain match fitness or further experience, Chris added:“We have other players who haven’t managed to get many minutes as yet. I have to strike the right balance as you need a squad to choose from, but equally I understand that game time is important for fitness and development. Regardless of the work you do with players to get them up to the right level, nothing beats games.

“I recognise two or three players may have to go out on loan. We started that process with Murray and it may now be the case with one or two more.”

Carayol then joined Torquay United permanently in July 2008, where he made 27 starts and 27 substitute appearances across the Blue Square Premier and League 2, scoring six goals.

He turned down a new contract at the Club at the conclusion of the 2009/10 campaign and subsequently moved to Lincoln City for a reported compensation fee of £35,000. He made 28 starts and nine substitute appearances, scoring four goals, but was made available for transfer at the end of the season following the Club’s relegation from the Football League.

In June 2011, Mustapha moved to Bristol Rovers for an undisclosed fee on a two year contract. It was at the Memorial Ground that Carayol rose to prominence, with a series of excellent performances attracting the attention of several Sky Bet Championship clubs.

Carayol chose to join Middlesbrough on an initial three year deal in August 2012 for a reported £250,000 where he has gone on to make 40 starts and 14 substitute appearances over two seasons, scoring 12 goals.

He spent the end of last season on loan at fellow Championship side Brighton, making four starts and one substitute appearance. During late April 2015, he signed a two year contract extension at the Riverside Stadium.

Mustapha will wear the number 10 shirt at Huddersfield Town.

The former QPR midfielder, 32, has penned a one-year deal at Turf Moor.

The Clarets beat off strong competition from a host of Premier League clubs for the experienced midfielder, who made 28 appearances in the top-flight during the 2014/15 campaign.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche said: “I’m delighted that we have Joey on board.

“He was very respectful when speaking about our club at the end of last season and during the summer.

“We had many conversations and he made it clear he was very interested in what we are about and that coming here was something he would consider.

“He is player who is in demand and who others think highly of. I know there is other stuff to his life and character, but on the pitch I think everyone speaks well of him and he is certainly someone who I think can get the culture and the understanding of what we do here.”

Born in Huyton, Barton came through Manchester City’s academy and made his first-team debut against Bolton Wanderers in April 2003.

During his time at the Etihad, Barton’s performances earned him an England U21 call-up for their 2004 European Championships, and after continuing to impress at the heart of midfield, he was awarded the club’s Young Player of the Year award at the end of the 2003/04 season.

In 2007, Barton was called up to the senior England side after impressive club form and came on as a substitute in the 78th minute, replacing Frank Lampard in a 0-1 defeat to Spain at Old Trafford.

He made over 150 appearances at City, before Newcastle paid £5.8m for his services in 2007.

The former England international spent four years on Tyneside, helping the side to bounce straight back to the Premier League as Championship champions in the 2009/10 season.

After 84 appearances at St James Park, he joined Queens Park Rangers on a free transfer in 2011. His combative, all-action style endeared him to the Loftus Road faithful and he became an integral part of their side.

But having being unable to help prevent relegation from the Premier League in the 2011/12 season, Barton spent a year on loan at Marseille in Ligue 1.

He then returned to QPR and helped the club return to the top-flight via the Play-Offs after a 1-0 win over Derby County at Wembley.

Alexander Nübel - Schalke (undisclosed fee)

Article: The Royal Blues have added another goalkeeper to their ranks in the form of Alexander Nübel. The 18-year-old, born on 30th September 1996, has made the switch from SC Paderborn 07 to FC Schalke 04, signing a three-year contract until June 2018.

"Alexander is one of the most talented keepers at his age. Andre Breitenreiter and our goalkeeping coach Simon Henzler have known about his qualities for a long time," said sporting director Horst Heldt. "He’ll train with the first team, but will also be available to play for the U23 side. Unfortunately, we know from first-hand experience with injuries how important it is to have a number of quality keepers available to you in your squad."

The 6’2” shot-stopper was even a part of Breitenreiter’s first-team squad at Paderborn last year, despite his young – although he didn’t make any appearances. Nübel got his match practice with the U23s where he held down a place as starting goalkeeper, and also celebrated promotion to the Oberliga.

Nübel joined Paderborn from his hometown club TSV Tudorf in 2005, and made numerous appearances in their youth teams, including representing their reserves at just 15 years old.

"After that, we'll see in January if we send him on loan."

Article: Sunderland AFC have completed the signing of Sweden international Ola Toivonen.
The attacking midfielder joins the Black Cats on a season-long loan from French Ligue 1 side Rennes.

The 29-year-old began his career in his hometown with Degerfos IF before spells in Gothenburg and Malmo. A move to Dutch giants PSV followed where he won the KNVB Cup and the Dutch Super Cup.

Toivonen joined French side Rennes in January 2014 scoring 14 goals in 46 league appearances, and he also has a wealth of experience at international level having won over 40 caps for Sweden.

Kevin Kampl - Leverkusen (reportedly €8 to €10 million)
Article: It’s non-stop for the Werkself at the moment. Speaking at the pre-match press conference ahead of the away game at FC Bayern Munich on Saturday night (18.30 CET, live on Sky) Roger Schmidt made it clear, “that we want to compete on equal terms with the best team in the Bundesliga.” The head coach was joined by Bayer 04 press officer Dirk Mesch and new signing Kevin Kampl.

The joy of returning to Leverkusen was clear to see with the midfielder who joins Bayer 04 from Borussia Dortmund on a five-year deal to 2020. “I’m over the moon that the transfer has gone through and I’m really happy to be playing for Roger Schmidt again. I like his attacking approach to the game. He is the coach who’s had the greatest influence on my career,” said Kampl. Schmidt refused to say whether or not the 24-year-old Slovenia international would be in the squad for the FC Bayern game. “I am considering it but it all depends on receiving his registration tomorrow. I’m sure Kevin will fit in very quickly. He knows how we play so his signing was the best possible option for us,” declared Roger Schmidt at the press conference, broadcast live as ever on netzwerk.bayer04.de.

Schmidt did not rule out additional signings with four days to go before the transfer window closes. “We still need a player in holding midfield after the injury to Charles Aránguiz.”
