Whatever happens, we are likely to finish 1st or 2nd so we are good but...

What happens if Tottenham or Man Utd win the CL but finish 5th and 6th in the PL and Arsenal or Chelsea win the UL and finish 3rd and 4th respectively in the PL. Who actually qualifies for next seasons CL? Is it the fourth place team that misses out because of the maximum 5 teams rule?
 
If arsenal or Chelsea have qualified for CL via PL position, then the EL winners route to CL is null. If spurs or United win CL and finish outside top 4 they will qualify for CL as will the top 4 in PL. Now if both those scenarios occur at same time, I guess the 4th placed team in league will miss out.

Yeah that males sense, thanks! This situation means that maybe finishing 3rd is more important than finishing 4th.
