Anything less than the season would be a surprise.

Even when he returns it'll take a while for him to get back to normal

Hal - I hope this is just you reapplying "We'll never win the league" thinking to virgils injury.
PTG will prob say he is a slight doubt for Wednesday, but otherwise fine

The twitter chatter is VvD out for the season and Thiago for a month.

Liverpool are confident that Thiago has avoided serious injury. They are waiting to see how the knee settles after the swelling reduces. [Neil Jones/GOAL]

Unfortunately it's not

What the fuck was Pickford thinking with that tackle, the utter prick.

He probably wasn't thinking at all, just reacting, taking out the threat and worrying about the details later,

Apparently there's a chance the FA will consider taking retrospective action on it as it was missed by both the on-field officials and the VAR lot.

I reckon action will be taken now after our complaint and the fact that it has resulted in a serious injury to a high profile player.

Tim Cahill has it spot on, he said that the VAR was influenced by the ref's decision on the pitch, when in retrospect and by the book Pickford should have walked. He basically said that VAR should be there to follow up the rules to a tee, once it's reviewed on TV, but instead the VAR allowed himself to be swayed by the ref's interpretation.
