It's getting a hardware reveal tomorrow, 2pm on Digital Foundry. I'm really happy for the guys at Digital Foundry, they have done some great technical investigative journalism over the last few years in regards to gaming and particularly console performance. In a time when review sites are moving more and more into cliche and hyperbole, these guys have really excelled by offering in-depth, impartial, nerdy game analysis, it's great to see them getting such a big scoop, one they deserve, also it's need to see a UK site getting the exclusive on a world wide product.

Importantly though, this seems like a massive statement of intent by Microsoft, it shows they must be really confident in their product, because the guys at Digital Foundry will know their stuff, they won't get fooled by marketing fluff, so we'll get the nitty gritty details and some solid critical analysis. For Microsoft to open the device up to that level of scrutiny on it's first revel must mean they have great confidence in what they've created, thats how i'm reading it anyway, I reckon it'll be a very impressive piece of kit.

So, does anyone really care? Unless it's massively underwhelming i'll almost certainly be getting one, I'm hoping for a very powerful machine, AMDs Vega graphics core seems likely, and whilst their Zen CPU seems a long shot, that would be the icing on the cake for me, a serious upgrade.

All we know so far is that it'll have 12gb RAM, at least 6TF of graphical power, an 8 core CPU, a UHD blu ray player, and an internal power brick. I realise that most people couldn't give a shit about this stuff, but I love it, so very excited for tomorrow. Anyone else even remotely interested?
