We lacked soneone in midfield who could carry the ball through manutds wall. I didn't see the first half but I heard ox got substituted and when I watched lallana I thought he wasn't good enough either.

Definetely an area we need to look at for next season. Fekir Lemar etc...

Totally expected that. Regardless of manager or personnel Maureen usually fucks us over. Really pisses me off. Should have really gone at them and torn into them. Too many players looked over-whelmed.
Really fucks me off. Sent them 5 points clear of us, and now were are 4th again and looking over our shoulders again.

We have fucked him over a few times - probably stopped him from achieving ultimate immortality by preventing him TWICE form reaching the champions league final with Chelsea. Whatever we think about him - he is a winner and his record proves that. Klopp was wrong like Brendan before him to try and take the game to him - Rafa never fell for that because he has players to hurt us if we all go gung-ho. To be honest - any team could do what they did to us because the ball over the top will always be an option for all teams. He understands that goals are scored because someone else is going to make a mistake.

Mourinho is an incredible game manager, not just in how they play but how they build up to it. Lots was made of Rodgers naivety when we got turned over at anfield but Klopp just walked into the same trap last weekend. Mourinho said it was just another game while Klopp was going on about how it was the biggest game for the club and he would never play for a draw.

Come kick off time they were ice cold and knew exactly what to do, we hadnt a fucking clue how to deal with it and as a result kept over hitting passes, running down blind alleys trying to force things. They had a plan for everything we threw at them, Salah shackled by a man marking job, Mane channeled into the congested centre of the pitch where his passing let him down and Firmino crowded so his neat interplay never came off.

Meanwhile we hadnt a breeze how to deal with the most obvious one dimensional tactic possible. I dont thinking hyping games up helps Lovren at all, hes prone to wild challenges he cant win. TAA also disintigrated against City when they turned the screws on him. If hes going to play in these types of games we need a better support.

I think that now we've lost to a team ahead of us in the league on their home pitch our season is ruined and we'll drop like a stone now. Or we could stop moaning as if it were a total surprise and win next time out. As the cliché goes its a marathon not a sprint.

This is the thing. We can use the game to learn something. First half we were trying to hard from the go. The quality didn't match the effort, and instead of keeping it a bit cool and control the ball better we lost two hoofballs from them. We could have defended better of course, but the main thing from the first half was own game not being controlled enough. But we can work on that and improve. They can't work on sitting deeper and improve on their game. So in the long run we are better off.

I did the Echo predictive thing and even having lost that match I still had us taking 2nd by 3 points from United with Spurs tied with them and Chelsea about 5 points further back. All to play for.

If we were going to learn anything it was away at Spurs, and that was that Lovren shouldn't be trying to win headers miles outside the box, coz he's shit at it and when he misses it leaves a massive gap.
