Heres a different angle at about 38 seconds Conor hits out at khabib cornerman first

... ha ha Israeli twitter accounts!!! you're cracking me up today

(the two guys who destroy him aren't the guy he hits it seems - I wonder if those two were 2 of the 3 who were arrested)

I'm amazed @Atlas watches this stuff!
I don't, but just wanted to see what people were saying after the ESPN headline I saw.

I'm sure the real fans won't like me veering the thread on a tangent but it all has some kind of social context.

For the sake of entertainment we are ok with a guy calling black people monkeys and calling Muslims terrorists along with disrespecting a person's family and wife cos it's cool he's making his money.
Yet when the outspoken jumped up asshole gets his ass handed to him it's all nooo that's not nice.

Oh I didn't know anything about this (the fight, or the UFC guy - I knew Connor b/c he's always on ESPN.com), nor am I that interested if I'm honest.
You think it's not ok for people to use racist terms etc, I agree with you.
You seemingly are ok if said aggrieved people take action into their own hand, I'm not sure where I stand ... That is a bloody slippery slope but I get the outrage.
It's rather obvious this was very personal for Khabib - which is not surprising.
That being said, I learned about Avar and more about Dagestan today ... so thank you for giving me the impetus to learn about Khabib and his roots.

This moral tightrope is very difficult.

Looks like Dana putting the blame on Danis

I'm sure it'll come out over the next few days exactly what he said looks like Rogan heard it so I'm sure it'll be in a podcast soon

Is this about what I said? or the fight?

Based on what I've read now - which I think is too much for a UFC related subject - these guys hate each other (great for the business as there will be a rematch?), and something was BOUND to kick off if someone lit a match ... Who's to blame? Dunno, doesn't seem like Khabib did anything pre-fight ... so that puts most of the blame for building up the situation on McGregor ...

it takes two to tango.

It's an odd feeling to see McGregor get beaten. I was hoping he'd win simply because he's Irish but there's a large part of me that's happy he's been taken down a few notches.

Apparently also not the first time Danis and khabib had issues
Or the first time Danis was being a dick.

Dana's out defending Conor saying he's been calm about the whole thing and that he didnt retaliate. My arse he didn't retaliate.

Watch the vids closely and anyone'll see Conor started hitting people too.

That's fake news Asim. He never called Khabib a terrorist. He called his manager a terrorist, because he did his research and discovered that he is actually a terrorist rat. Ali Abdelaziz was arrested in Cairo, carrying a bunch of fake passports, trying to board a flight to New York, on September 11 2001. He was literally a fucking terrorist. He got out of jail by agreeing to become a snitch for the government. Afterwards he went into protection, and has washed his hands of his son called Noah. Conor did his homework on the guy, and then told him he was a terrorist rat and not to come at the king. So Khabib needs to take a look at the people he is in bed with, they're scumbags.

That's real news Asim. His intention was almost certainly to look like he was running in there to help out his bitch teammates, and much like at the weigh-in, for a bunch of people to pile in and hold him back. However, to his probable surprise, he made it all the way to the top of the cage and then left himself no reasonable excuse not to jump down to his death. Yet that fucker does have an extremely sharp mind, saw the poor trainer out of the corner of his eye, and saved himself by taking a swing for him. It's almost seamless the way he did it, his fans won't even notice.

I thought this was a wind up initially.

He's defo a terrorist

Thought Conor did pretty well. Made millions, promoted his shite whiskey, and got out of there in one piece. His evasiveness on the ground was impressive, didn't really get mauled or smeshed, and tapped out the second he felt like he was unable to evade the mauling. I think that is what sent Khabib nuts, he did half the job of tiring him out, then the opportunity to dismember him was snatched away.
100% agree.

Khabib didn't get closure. That's why he was so pissed. He didn't really maul Conor.

He's probably upset with himself for allowing Conor an easy way out with that sub.

McGregor is now a millionaire, and he tapped like one, as soon as he saw a way out. No need to get unnecessary damage.

Damn I didn't realise that about Abdul Aziz, though defo agree with that last sentence khabib has lots and lots of loons in his corner.

My point being khabib has never has any animosity or really bad mouthed an opponent, Conor on the other hand had loads of times.

I'm not too bothered about khabib jumping over the fence, mentioned earlier his boys jumping Conor was just low.

khabibs weird rants about Irish language and Conor banging on about the McGregor clan being outlawed by the English, khabib going on about conors grandad fighting in the English navy etc was all a bit weird.

Khabibs closure was nothing short of Conor being in hospital dead or broken limbs.

And khabib is also a millionaire but he probably lives in a cave or some shit.

@Atlas - do you watch this stuff normally?

Na man, I not normally into blood and macho stuff but been doing bjj about 3 years now so you kinda get sucked into the ufc stuff plus regularly listen to the Rogan podcasts
I woke up for a pee at 4:30 figuring it'll be over and it wasn't so watched it hoping khabib would beat the snot our of conor

A couple of things
1. Yes Khabib did maul conor, he controlled him start to finish, smashed his head in (view the no marks on Khabib's face vs conors face), and then tried to pull his head off and conor quit as usual. This was about as one sided as you can get, conor offered nothing, and was found out vs the only decent fighter that he's ever gone more than 20seconds with. He great vs the bang average, but vs the elite, he's looked like an amateur. We've seen over and over what happens to strikers with zero wrestling or submission game, vs someone with a little striking but elite wrestling/submissions. From back in the day with Royce vs Art, to Woodley vs Till a couple of weeks ago. It never ends well.
2. Also, Khabib got dogs abuse on the run up from both conor and his team, on all fronts race/religion/family etc, and then on the night he was getting more abuse through the cage from Dilon, and getting called a terrorist again, so I'm not surprised he got smashed aswell, he deserved it. Dilon just like conor, thinks he's the shit, and also got his arse handed to him on the night.
3. Conor threw the first punch vs the people from Khabib's team who were in the ring, I'm not sure where this pretext of Dana's 'poor conor got sucker punched' from.

I hope, and expect, that Khabib gets a % of his purse taken off him, and a 6month suspension. Unlike what conor got, for attacking innocent people in public which was no fine and no suspension.

You pick your side and you shoehorn whatever reasoning you have to ensure your side comes out tops. Some ridiculous comments re Khabib he ain't even a real UFC champ cos all he does is wrestle and Conor is a better fighter cos when he hits with the left hook it's over and it's not even really MMA from Khabib cos it's just wrestling just so weird considering the history of the sport in it's early days.

The number of people across MMA who have come out to say 'well it ain't right but I totally get it' from Khabib shows the level of respect he has amongst actual community and him putting away Conor like that after all the agro before and to keep his cool deserves the respect.

Conor is Danas cash cow, he's made millions of him and he needs that golden goose to keep laying eggs. The difference between fighting to make the money v fighting to be recognised as the best ever. Also the reason why Conor won't be pressing charges cos he's already walking a tight rope with his dolly incident.
