I've got to admit that when Shaqiri's name was first brought up it was a definite case of Do Not Want as far as I was concerned. It wasn't his ability which concerned me - I was pretty confident that at his best he'd be good enough - but there were legit questions to answer regarding his attitude. What gives me most confidence now isn't so much the fact that Shaqiri seems to have hit the ground running (though he has, and that's great) as the fact that Klopp, a manager who is ALL about the team and the collective, wanted him and, I'm quite sure, will have done his due diligence on the guy first. Onwards and upwards.

Getting weird tingles watching that. I can't remember there being such a close bond between players and players, manager and players and the whole club and the supporters in a very long time. This feels like what could be a very special time.
Exactly

This is what I'm most excited by. There's a genuine connection reforming between club and fans, which I think a majority of us thought was dead

I don't know what's changed, but klopp is clearly the centre of it

I know we're just supposed to want trophies, but for me, this is a special time regardless of whether or not we win things. The stuff you mentioned, Kopp, exciting football, regular finalists in cups, what seems to be a thoroughly nice bunch of players that can actually play, etc.

Watching Liverpool is fun again.

Amen to that Mama.

Sing hallelujah to that mamma.

I'd also highlight the Peter Moore effect. He's driving this culture from the top.

You're both right IMHO. I remember being struck by Klopp's words when he first arrived about turning doubters into believers and I do think it was he who got things started, but Moore coming in as CEO must have been instrumental too. To illustrate the point: would this be happening if Parry were still in the job? Exactly.

Good shout.

And definitely better than the last time we had a CEO try to drive things from the top.
