The Mirror reckon Maureen is gone

It looks bad for him now...but if he goes onto beat one or two of the big teams then i think they will get some momentum and still finsish to make a cl place. I actually beleive that they will have a say in who wins the title by beating one or tow of the contenders ... it is so tight at the moment and Arsenal / Spurs will beat the cannon fodder in this league so this season it will really matter how well the top teams do against each other.

How many of you honestly think we could beat them ? I dont think we could right now even in their current shit state.

Yeah but that's just coz he's good with his elbows. He's a useless fucking lanky streak of piss.

I fucking hate him Mark - I really hate him - I enjoyed watching Belgium in the world cup but that guys presence just annoyed the shit out of me every time he played for them (or as you say elbowed for them). I really hope if we play them and we are the losing side - I just hope that either one of Henderson or Milner would just fucking punch the c*nt in the face. There is something so annoying about him - he just gets on my nerves just watching him.

It would wouldn’t it. Point still stands though, fucking relax people. That shower will probably still finish 2nd.

Hmm, I dunno about that. They still have plenty of good players, but nothing seems to be working properly, and once Shitcoat is in a downward spiral, it rarely if ever corrects. And there's Chelsea, us, Arsenal and Spurs all looking in better shape.

I'd be surprised.

I would like to be as confident as both yourself and Woland but after that 2nd half comeback against Newcastle I fear they may have injected some belief, even if it was Newcastle. I hope Chelsea smash them.

I don't. I want Chelsea to get beat.

That's possible but, even if they have, there's a good chance IMO that that confidence is fairly brittle. You can never write the feckers off completely, but something's defo not right at that club and long may it continue.

Agree. We can look at the season over all or just at the last 15-20 mins against a Newcastle who scored 2 goals for the first time this season earlier that match as well.

They are voulnerable defensively, which is not normal for a Mourinho team. However you can argue that they were weak defensively last season as well but were saved by a player-off-the-year like season from De Gea. So they have huge flaws in a defence were Mourinho doesn't trust anyone. His CD's are shit and they lack leadership. His captain is rumoured to be in war with him, and none of the buys they have done for full backs has shown anything of significance, hence they don't play much either.

In midfield they lost their leader figure (Carrick) last season. They moved him into assitant Coach, with not much experience from that role. Matic were supposed to be their new stabilizer in midfield, but for all the defensive work fans are complaining about him slowing down the game when they eventually get the ball. Alongside him Mourinho sometimes play this McTomlin figure which I have no clue on what his real strengths are. Pogba has been a CM, but he obviously wants away, and position wise he has been a catastrophy. They also have Moruinho's favourite Fellaini, which most fans hates and who really doesn't contribute much. Mata and Lindgaard can also do a shift in more attacking mid roles but there is no consistency.

Attackwise they have good players, but no structure. Players are isolated and they don't run for each other. Their pressing is weak. Fortunately most of them seem to be way out of form as well. Rashford scores in one game and they go awol in another three. Martial is supposed to have some supertalent, but doesn't work for the team nor deos he perform at a high Level in more than 30 mins every other week. Lukaku Plays the game he always did, and it kept Everton well into the top half, and will probably do the same to United. And Sanchez... What to say… Came in after splitting up Arsenal With his poisounous "I deserve more" atttitude. Has kept the attitude in United, but also his game has remained the same that saw Arsenal very happy to get rid of him.

All in all no leaders on the pitch, and no leaders off the pitch. Mourinho might beleive he has saved his job by beating a hapless Newcastle in fascinating manners, but god knows he will never change his ego and narsistic attitude, and hence he will keep on digging a hole in that club. Lets hope they grind out a point, or even better a victory against Chelsea. That will not transform that sorry bunch of arseholes into some mean winning machine, it will only big up the Picture Mourinho has about himself, and hence he will spend his imidiate future picking even more fights agaisnt the press, the previous players and the current players. Beautiful!!!!

Forget Grobbelaar. Newcastle played at 2-0 up like a team would that's taken a bribe. Woeful. They threw away possession, they wasted some good chances, they just seemed to prepare themselves to lose.

Another thing to note is that Newcastle should have had a pen first half and deserved a bigger lead than 2 nil.

Perhaps, but they were as appalling in the second half as United were brilliant. If Pogba played like he did in that 45 minutes in every game, he'd look worth every penny of his fee and wages.

My mate text me saying his housemate works at a hotel in Wilmslow and had to sign a non disclosure agreement, manutd are doing a reveal video.

They've thrown a big chunk on Zidane. Probs bollocks like

I've been thinking more about this philosophy of folks wanting Maureen to stay, as he is taking Utd downwards.

It reminds me of a league game against Utd at Anfield in December 1989 (I think). Utd had had an awful start to the season, many mancs were calling for the manager's head and everyone expected us to spank them in the match.

Anyway, it ended 0-0, but my overriding memory was of the Kop singing "Fergie must stay!"

Brilliantly put mate and I couldn't agree more.

Maureen is no Fergie.

It could well be you are right. But that meen Mourinho acknowledge others are right and he has to change to get these things back on track. I don't know if he has it in him. I doubt it.

Keeping the world most expensive squad in the top 6 is not what makes one special.

If they start their climb to runners up to us by beating Chelsea in their next match, I'm all for it. Doubt it like.

It’s exactly the type of game his team would win last year to ease pressure. If they don’t turn up for this and get a good beating he’s doomed
