Big game this weekend, I fucking hate this game, the cynical cunts always manage to nick an undeserved point off us, will probably happen again with Kane nicking an equaliser against the run of play.

Anyway, my bitterness aside, how are we feeling going into this one? Mane is obviously a massive miss in games like this one, but I'm quite hopeful Salah will play a blinder. Spurs are playing with three at the back at the moment right? We've got to look to expose them out wide with pace then, Salah can do that well. I'd start the same team as Tuesday, but bringing in Mignolet.

It's at Wembley, but that could work to our advantage, they haven't settled in there yet, getting their first win only last weekend.

Prediction? Score draw.

Oddly enough, I'm confident.
It seems we're starting to play a bit better.
Hopefully, Firmino's confidence is back to where it was pre-Sevilla peno miss.

Ben Davies is still sidelined through illness and will have to be assessed before the weekend, while Mousa Dembele is in the same boat with his ankle injury.
Danny Rose made his first appearance in a Spurs shirt since January with a 10-min substitute cameo and could make the bench again.
Victor Wanyama and Erik Lamela remain a few weeks from a return. Georges-Kevin N'Koudou could miss the game after suffering a concussion.

We haven't lost since about 2012, although there's been quite a few draws recently.

Last time we played them in the league Mane scored both goals in a 2-0 win.
Yeh, they were the ones I was referring to in my post, I remember Harry Kane and Danny Rose nicking completely undeserved equalisers against us in recent years.

Predicted line-ups

Tottenham starting XI: Lloris; Sanchez, Dier, Alderweireld; Trippier, Sissoko, Winks, Eriksen, Son; Dele; Kane
Liverpool starting XI: Mignolet; Gomez, Matip, Lovren, Moreno; Wijnaldum, Henderson, Can; Salah, Firmino, Coutinho

Picked this out from the Maribor report .. as we have really been off the game pressing-wise this season (I think we are 9th in the 'PL pressing' stats, the average time the opposition have on the ball before being pressed). we will need to keep this high versus Spurs .... as they are sure to do in return.

Klopp
"The counter-pressing. I loved this," he told the club's official website. "From the first second it was exactly what we wanted to do. We wanted to show the best counter-pressing of the last few weeks because I really thought that protecting our offensive movements, patterns and all that stuff were already really good against United but we could have done even better in counter-pressing.

That's bull shit! Where is Milner in this?

Huge chance to bridge the gap and build å momentum for us. A solid win here will guide us in the right direction. Somehow Spurs seem to fit us even though they normally have a decent defence. I look forward to this one.

7-0 win takes us 4th. And they’re shit at Wembley.

Still can’t believe they only gave us 3,000 tickets for this. I’ll bet there will be at least 25,000 seats.

Fuck Spurs.
It's bang out of order. Apparently they're very worried about the lack of atmosphere in there as they can't fill it, even piping in sounds through the speakers to make it sound better, but they don't want to give any further advantage to the visiting sides by giving them maximum allocation.

Common sense would be to give local school kids free tickets, try to draw in the next generation of fans, get a full stadium, bit more noise & some community goodwill, & offset that cost (although if the seats are gonna be empty theres no loss anyway, but for the bean counters benefit) with some away tickets, but common sense is a commodity missing from football nowadays.

My mate handed me a tenner last night and asked me to back four nil, but I'm locked out my betting accounts due to stupidity and I've lost my cards for similar reasons. It's a hundred to one. So now I'm faced with going out in the gales or maybe owing someone a grand.

When you walk through a storm, keep your head held high I guess.

Am i the only person scared by the one season wonder they have up front ?

As well as Dele Alli and Eriksen ?

I am but for some reason remain confident. Dunno why. The Wembley effect plus the way we played in the week. But if he drops Milner for Henderson I'll cry.

I'm a bit reluctant to read anything into the Maribor result.
The Wembley thing is real though.

Your mates 4-0 bet is a possibility, but so is four the other way
