Nah the police were told before. However to save face ghe club also reported it along with circumstantial evidence.
I really dont understand why anyone uses their phone at the wheel now.
I don't have the cash for a new car with a built in Bluetooth system, so just fitted an aux adapter to the stereo & a Bluetooth receiver to that.
Get in the car, put phone in dock, car app starts automatically. Say 'OK google take me....' to get a map up, or 'ok Google call/text contact' 'play album' or whatever the fuck you want to do.
It'll read your texts, emails & fb etc messages to you as well if you want. There's no reason to have to touch the phone whatsoever.
And that's just me, in a shitty ten year old car. I'm guessing a footy players car can do even more & that cool phone to car screen mirror thing on top as well, so it's just fucking bizarre.

The problem is that cars take over your fucking fun now. Over here they are fully digitalzied electric cars and they slide in and out of traffic themselves. They even parc themself. It's shit. I will change my quite New Beamer now for a 30 year old fuel consuming cool bastard with manual and not a fucking speed/parking/linechange sensor as far as I can see. No GPS or Bluefuckingtooth. I make the calls in that one. It will have plenty horsepower and that kind of shit though.

Haha. I was in Cairo a few times. Driving there makes no sense. My driver explained that the absence of rules was the only logic they had and it actually worked.

Ha. That's the most laughable thing. It's all fucking automatic with new cars. They get in the car & the fucking phone screen appears on the car screen & you speak commands to it.
There's no setup involved except pairing it the first time, which anyone could do.

Cairo ? - yeah remember being driven from the airport to the hotel - fuck me - me and my Mrs. thought we may die the way the guy was driving. I remember talking to the tour guide who picked us up and he says in his arab/english accent 'a little crazy here huh brother ... not like Britain hugh ?' - I was shitting myself.
Strange as it seem, two of the Norwegian PL legends struggled for cash at various times.
Riise was of course one. He was shit broke as his agent har spent all his money and out him into debt at one stage while at Liverpool. Riise sued him but lost big time. So I think he actually left us short on cash.
The other is the Norwegian record signing Flo (Chelsea to Rangers for 16 mill pounds or thereabout. ) He went later to Siena in Italy. They paid salaries a bit late. So late that Flo went out of cash (in contrary to Riise he had plenty but they were tied up in investments).
So I guess my advice is ensure they pay upfront....

I was in Cambodia when they introduced traffic lights to a major junction for the first time. Within 12 hours there was an AK47 gunfight over right of way. One dead.
What setup do you use? I bought one a while back and discovered it only work for playing Spotify or Google Maps etc, but doesn't work on voice calls.
I use Car Home Ultra, just makes it easier to set up.
My Bluetooth receiver starts when the car engine switches on, & that makes the car home ultra app start & become 'home' & stops the phone sleeping.
That'll read texts out to me, emails etc.
Everything else I just ask 'ok Google' for cos the screen is on & it's the default assistant, so can make calls, texts email etc.
The only annoying thing is amazon have stopped letting Google pass messages through to their app so can't play music directly through it. Added an alexa widget to car home ultra, but obv that means touching the phone which isn't ideal, not an issue unless you use amazon music though, other music apps are fine.
I'm working on a workaround for amazon music involving a Tasker voice enabled shortcut 'pressing' the widget on the screen for me, but not got the time yet.

I've had the exact same experience in Malta - the loony drivers and the c'est la vie attitude.
I bought a new car just so I can use Apple CarPlay.
Apparently this was some cunt he gets players to sign things (using kids) and then sells them on, as opposed to being a supporter who just happens to witness this. Scumbag. Hope he gets his comeuppance.
