Overall, I'm happy with the result.
We should be on 6 points already, which is a good sign considering what I'm sure the Coutinho mess has done to the squad.

Overall -
Ming was solid again (7)

Gomez - a few really poor touches, but seems to be back to the level he was at before his injury. Hopefully he can grow a lot this year and contribute more (6.5)
Matip - good performance from him today. (7.5)
Klavan - a decent performance but he was shocking on the chance they should have scored on - just absolutely destroyed by Cheek. (5)
Robertson - really good debut. (7.5)

Milner - solid but unspectacular (6)
Henderson - got through the 90 minutes and seemed ok. He seems to be working his way back to match fitness (7)
Gini - he seemed more eager to do something positive, but again, just didn't do much. Improvement on Tuesday mind you (6)

Mane - not as good as Tuesday but aggressive, and tried to create opportunities. Good instincts on his goal (8)
Firmino - Starting on the wing always makes this guy average. However, he seems off this season. Maybe it's his buddy Phil? Dunno but he's started off the season really average (6)
Studge - you can see every few minutes the class the man possessed, but he seems a spent force physically and should only be playing games with salah/mane on his side so he gets more time (6)

Salah - (7) - his presence caused Palace problems ... When he's on the pitch, we're +2 GD in two games. Nice shot near the end too.
Solanke - (7) - love the look of this kid, really do.
Lovren (n/a)

Well it was never exactly the fucking Hilton - Bad beer served out of rusty pipes. Good people though.
Agreed.
But either they are deliberately avoiding me or they don't go there any more.
I suspect the former

Where was this?
Shanklys Bar in Salou. Full of scousers, a few wools & a fair few Spaniards in Liverpool tops too.

It's decorated in all the tops from the 70's onwards, banners & flags too.

Absolutely rammed & we were singing for the majority of the match, great atmosphere & bumped into a couple of people I knew in that friends of friends way that everyone in Liverpool knows everyone.

If there was a bar in town with an atmosphere like that on a match day it'd be amazing.

Robertson was very encouraging. I guess that at Hull he didn't get much chance to just sit almost as a right midfielder and pump balls in the box/ interplay with players like Mane/ Salah on the wing. I think he's going to be a gem.

As Squiggles said, it looks like we might be on the verge of solving our full back woes, and for a long time to come, with him and TAA.

Klopp is really not much in the mood for celebrating, is he?

Poor Flanno. Has to compete with Clyne, TAA and Gomez.
He's not leaving is he?

Same reason why he told the Kop to stop singing his name during mid-game last season. Can imagine he's just nervy as fuck, superstitious and doesn't want to jinx anything. Wait till he finds out about Oncey's cock!

Fell off a bar stool in that bar one Saturday watching us hammer Coventry I think it was. Jumped up to cheer a goal, the stool moved from under me, and landed on my arse on the floor. Luckily didn't bang the back of my head off the bar. Never spilled a drop though.

Took me ages to realise that they weren't still managed by Allardyce.

They were poor but stubborn to break down.

We didn't need three players doing the same keep things ticking role - Henderson, Gini & Milner is lacking creativity which is needed against two banks of 5 midfielders and 4 defenders

Henderson was poor IMO. Shit out of some tackles and gave ball away too often.

Matip was solid as was Gomez as game progressed. Robertson was excellent after a wobbly start. Great balls into box. Knew when to go and when to hold.

Nice one - and yeah for such a Football Mad City it surprises me Liverpool doesn't have "Sports Bars" as such. Well, a few, advertise themselves as that but they're not really. Would take off massively.

Tbf I think Henderson was a lot better than he was against both Hoffenheim and Watford. Yes, I did notice some shithouse attempts at getting the ball but I also saw him succeeding at breaking up play and moving the ball well.
I do expect more from him though. I want more incisive passes and for him to be a bigger presence in midfield.

I actually thought Henderson was really good today. Gini was struggling to get into the game (as per normal) which can happen when you've got two other CM's taking up space in the middle and Sturridge and Firmino dropping deep, a lot. He needs to make more forward runs and to try and find gaps inbetween the lines. His 'role' today was ineffective and we'd have been better off dropping him, playing Firmino in AM and having someone more suitable on the wing. Alternatively we could have shifted Milner out onto the wing, dropping Gini deeper with Firmino at AM.

Matip was great and I did almost everything right.

My cock is on 100% start to this season
I was on holiday when we played Watford. No cock 3-3 draw.
Home for Hoffenheim 1-2 win for the cock and today 1-0

Played 2 won 2.
Love my cock

He's not leaving is he?

Nah I think Flanagan will hang around til January at least. He's well down the pecking order now but he'll probably get a few games here and there - League Cup etc.

He mentioned that he went overboard with his celebration on the first game last season when Mane piggy backed on him against Arsenal.

And here comes Mane again!

I don't doubt that his skill, control, technique and finishing ability are all still there, but he doesn't look capable of anywhere near the same speed, and he seems far less mobile in general

We badly need a new striker
That's also true. Would be great if we had the luxury of a inside the box kind of finisher who wouldn't be expected to run fast or far. Just score. Alas.
