[Admins, you can move the Terence Kongolo discussion here from the General Football thread, if you like.]

A #1 new player to watch this week: Middlesborough's Adama Traore. He tore Arsenal apart last night, absolutely turbo-charged pace reminiscent of young Walcott, but better strength and a low center of gravity, which can be such an advantage. His passing and decision making were good too, which is no wonder since he's a product of Barcelona's La Masia academy. 20 years old, Spanish national. I'm sure the scouts at several big clubs are compiling a dossier on him as we speak. He cost Aston Villa £7M from Barca B, then after relegation Boro snapped him up for an undisclosed fee. His original Villa contract had a buy-back clause from Barcelona, not sure if the Boro contract does.

Also watched him a few times already.

Looks v impressive. Didn't know about the Barca connection, bodes well.

Indeed. Pity he had an aging Negredo next to him and only Gaston Ramirez behind.
It could have ended much more painful for Arsenal if he had better support.

Broke some speed record yesterday - hit 37+ km/hr on that run he almost scored on, which broke Mousa Sissoko's previous record (~35km/hr)

@cloggypop Do you know what Ajax' current transfer record fee received is?

I think he could potentially smash it like some mad green Hulk.
Whatever Milik went for. Think it was around 35 million euro.

I meant Ziyech though. He's a superb player. Dolberg is looking class as well like. Taking his opportunity really well.

Cheers, smashing that fee maybe not so much then. But it will be there or thereabouts can he continue this form.

Yeah Ziyech also looks great, who's he?

Dolberg is Zlatan-like isn't he? Doesn't make much sense to me he's just turned 19. Completely bossing opponents physically without committing free-kicks, great control and all-around extremely composed and talented. The best thing though, he looks like a natural born goal-scorer.

They way he took that goal today, taking it through the defenders legs, before chipping the keeper like a boss. Prospect.

It looks like me missed a trick not getting Pulisic.
Two goals and three assists for Dortmund and I assume he is being used mostly off the bench

We should put a bid in for him i was so impressed with him that i think he is just MADE for a Klopp team. I hope he does not tear a new arsehole in us when we play boro.

I like Pulisic a lot, he just has this quality of making things happen. Even his assist today, he didn't really mean it as a pass, but he was just running at defenders with so much purpose that it created an opening for Ramos. And then he scored the tying goal in the 91st minute. This lad can be a star and we should try to sign him next season.

I started a thread about Traore last year after an electric sub performance for Villa. He's insanely fast and looks very talented.

Klopp will probably move for him in the coming Transfer windows

Remember @Hansern mentioned Naby Keita (3 goals in 6 league appearance) before.

With Leipzig's encouraging start to life in Bundesliga, expect interest in him to grow.

Red Bull Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita has revealed a host of Premier League clubs including Arsenal and Liverpool were interested in signing him in the summer.

Leipzig have been the surprise package in the Bundesliga this term, sitting second in the table, only two points behind Bayern Muynich, after eight matches.

Keita has caught the eye in midfield, scoring three goals in his six league appearances, and the 21-year-old admits he could have moved to England earlier this year.

“Arsenal, Manchester City and Southampton were all interested in signing me and Liverpool as well, although I did not speak with their coach,” he told SportNet.

“I did not want to join a big Champions League club right away. It is too early for that. I want to prove myself in the Bundesliga first now.”

Keita has been linked with a number of English sides in the past 12 months, with TEAMtalk exclusively revealing Crystal Palace and Bournemouth were also monitoring the Guinea international.

Winger Jacob Bruun Larsen, recently turned 18, Dortmund - and he kinda just scored on his debute tonight. (Will go down as an OG).

Played for the Danish Olympic Team this Summer where Vibe, 28, Brendtford, commented that he had probably never trained alongside a more talented lad; "All you can do is to watch him in training and try to learn from him, he is already outstanding despite his age".

Composed, fast, clever, direct. Not unlike Reus in terms of style.

Matchdax in Sweden reporting that we met with Aleksander Isaks agent and the clubs representatives on Monday.
We are very interested by the sound of it. Loads of clubs are mind..

I'll tell you this about Isak, he's a very intelligent player for his age.
What seperates him from other young players playing in Sweden is that he often makes the right runs and the right decision, it's just instinctive to him.
I must say he can become a really good player.

Other than that, his ballcontrol and technique is very good. He's also tall but somewhat skinny. Needs to bulk up.

Like I said in another thread, if I was his agent I wouldn't recommend that he'd join us in order to play reserve football. I'd rather he went to the Danish or Dutch league, played a season or two and then maybe move up to a bigger league. But I'm not so I hope we manage to get him to join.

Just learned that it was either us or Dortmund when he made the move from Lyngby a few years back.

And the one he impressed in Germany during his trials? Yup, Mr Klopp.

Plot thickens.

Hows that scando lad that went to Madrid at 16 and unsurprisingly didn't get a game doing , he went to Germany on loan didn't he ?

Nope, he didn't go out on loan.

[article]Odeggard was close to a loan move to Rennes in the summer but the deal was thwarted because of Fifa regulations governing the movement of minors. Odegaard will not be 18 until January. He was also the subject of interest from the Bundesliga and if is available in the next window it seems increasingly likely he will seek pastures new.[/article]

oh , quite the career move he's made then, still I suppose he's still a squirt in the grand scheme of things , so plenty of time to make good

Ødegaard's move to Real has echoes of Sergio Canales for me. Obviously, I've got my fingers crossed that Ødegaard has more luck with injuries - but I still think that moving there is going to stunt his development. Canales was a little older and at least had more first team appearances under his belt.

He probably should have stayed at Strømsgodset a while longer before moving on anywhere, let alone to Real Madrid.
