Maureen's press conference:

The United boss was asked about Pogba performing well on international duty.

I don’t comment on my players’ performances in national teams.

He really doesn't like him does he?

Funny, was listening to the guardian podcast there and they brought up Pogba playing well - first assist and goal in the same match for France.

But they also mentioned David May criticising him for spending too much time fannying around with distractions like colouring his hair. They then discussed whether there was something more sinister to jibes like that and if it was just cultural / generational differences.

Anyway there seems to be a bit of momentum building in the Pogba exit camp, including a few stories during the week about Mourinho dumping him in favour of Kroos and a couple of others.

Probably a bit of both innit. Can imagine David May will say anything to seem relevant and get more invites for interviews, but then again Pogba is a preening prick who isn't very good at all.

This is a fucking belter from bluemoon

I am trying to find some footage of the referee just before the game kicked off.

He clearly signalled a 3 with his fingers then a 0, then a 3 then a 0 again.

It only caught my attention as I thought it a bit odd - not thinking conspiracy though, just was odd it caught my eye

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

30... he was signalling that guys IQ

The ref is German, our manager is German. Has to be some kind of moon landing conspiracy type shit.

He was signalling how long till kick off, like they all do.

I'd much rather it was because lizards had pre-determined the result though.

Angry bunch that lot aren't they.

Well... let’s be fair to them.

Getting to a European quarter final is quite an achievement for them.

I think this is the 6th time in their history they’ve made it to a European quarter final - unfortunately their record isn’t great - so you’ve got to feel the pain of their abject failure in Europe:

However, who could forget that glorious night in Vienna in 1970 when City destroyed the great Górnik Zabrze 2-1 to secure their one and only European success - the highly coveted Cup Winners Cup.

Truly memorable European night that...

There is a very odd - yet mordantly funny - air of resigned despair over on Bitter forum "Grand Old Team" about the derby.

Doubtless last night's result, our ongoing improvement under Klopp, and the gravy-drinking twat as their manager hasn't helped, but they appear to have decided that because the derby means more to Liverpool fans than them (??), coupled with the fact that they almost never win one, there's no point in caring about the game or the result, which they'll lose anyway, regardless of what kind of weakened team we send out.

It's quite sweet really, trying to persuade themselves that it doesn't matter, so they are less crushed by another defeat.

Twats.

198 pages about their bus...

The utter fucking fume of the Citeh fans is making my balls ache.

Hahhaahhahahaha, read this post, these guys are beyond triggered.
It seems living in a city built on slavery who have a “don’t grass” attitude towards child killers like those of Reece Jones have exacberated a culture of sumbaggery among the city which has unfortunately spilled over to the fans of the football team.

I now understand when Maggie’s lot said don’t bother investing any money in Liverpool, it’s too far gone, just let it die, they kind of had a valid point x

This 100%. We need to stay classy. I also hope we NEVER as fans resort to booing the opposition for 90 minutes like last night - hopefully that phenomenon can remain unique to Anfield, and it was practically the entire stadium doing it.

Fuck me, it gets worse, they have an issue with booing the opposition?! Fuck me, do they take their mothers to the game in case people start picking on them

My mate is already talking about walking out on half time on sat. Amazing how early it sets in

They used to be a laugh. It's weird as fuck.
They are claiming bricks were thrown at the bus as well now, are they that desperate to deflect from getting completely destroyed at Anfield that they'll literally make shit up?

The investigation has begun

We didn't actually start booing them with the ball, we started booing them whenever they won the ball back after the first twenty minutes or so in the first half, almost jokingly because they had hardly seen it for much of it.

I heard constant boos so i thought we just booed us not having the ball
