Actually, there was that FA Cup final against Arsenal we lost on penalties, 13 years ago. We definitely played well in that defeat.
If we lose, then 9 times out of 10 (99 times out of 100?) then it will be because we didn't play well. So the idea that we go into this game as fans being ok with losing, so long as we play well, is more or less completely fanciful. It's not going to happen.

I know this is preseason and I know players are missing, but this is the worst I have ever seen United play, and it's been a good few hours of football now. That includes all of our prior preseasons.
This is an embarrassment to United. We're incapable of even passing the ball over the f*cking halfway line. Amateur football has more coherence than this. Our youth teams look better than this.
Every single one of the players out there except Andreas has played for their senior international team.
Maybe this 'tactic' is good enough to pick up the occasional flukey point against big teams (see Arsenal last season) but it's not good enough for a club with our ambitions. This is a parody of the worst of Jose.

Strange , or is it, that this megalomaniac isn't being called out for his constant hypocrisies by Sky TV et al.
Why would they ? Its great news and entertainment for them. Also given that the football being played at united is not appealing to viewers the it makes sense for a manager to open his trap with any shit just to give the club some attention.

The curtain has falled on Mourinho and it even did so a while go.. remember how everyone creamed their pants over his tenure with Chelsea after having outspend everyone else in the league with a factor x10? A lot of us weren't convinced back then, and I think recent history has certainly backed our suspicions firmly.
He is a defensive-minded, brick-wall builder, and he's decent at that but nothing more. He's not even fit to tie Klopp's laces if you ask me at least not in terms of managerial acumen, talent and class.
United might have "the chosen one", but we are certainly the lucky ones..
