Insignificance

Bad to the bone

As opposed to the thread of Our team from 2005 and 2018 I looked at the opponent. Some massive names there. Is it even possible to put together a combined XI between them?

Dida- Cafu, Stam, Nesta, Maldini - Gattuso, Seedorf, Pirlo, Kaka - Shevchenko, Crespo

I think whatever the outcome on Saturday we faced a better team in 2005 and we won. Don't get me wrong, this Real team has hit some form of late, and especially Ronaldo looks so much stronger than he did early season. Hopefully some early pressure and a goal for us can make him switch his head just a little towards the world cup, which he never won.

Goalie: Navas - Not sure where we have him. Some give him credit other claim he is a liability. I have not the answer for that other than they constantly Chase DeGea and now also Allison.

Defence: They are a good blend of experienced leaders (Ramos+Marcelo) and leutienants? We will be able to punish them if we get it right on the day. They have let in quite a few in the last games, and I feel certain that Klopp and Krawietz have Control on their weak spots.

Midfield: Casimero balancing Kroos and Modric. 442 With Isco/Assensio included? Not sure. Tehy are probably good enough to boss Our guys around like City did in 1st half if we let them, but how many miles these guys have in their legs if they have to Chase Our Marathon runners is more uncertain. Most big games are won in the engine room, and these guys are experienced, brilliant on the ball and can easily give us a rough night.

Attack: They are capable of hurting us badly. Even if most big games are won in the engine room, this game is going to be won by the attack, and they have some in form players in Ronaldo and Bale, and a noscoring Benzema. Hence we all know the French man is a potential matchwinner in this game. Not sure what to expect form them, but it has been said earlier that we can expect quite a few crosses, and they are all skilled enough to paly through Our defence on the day.

Coach: Zidane has won it two times on the troth. Not sure how many times he has been up to what faces him now. He surely has something to think about, as there is enourmous pressure on him.

So a combined XI? Navas/Dida (No Clue) - Cafu, Stam (Fuck off Ramos), Nesta, Maldini (Unlucky Marcelo) - Seedorf, Pirlo, Kaka - Ronaldo, Schevchenko, Crespo.

Ronaldo doesn't strike me as someone that would shirk off a challenge if we went a goal up on Saturday , quite the opposite , i imagine itd fuel him

Simple really

Just put Ronaldo in that Milan team upfront with Shevchenko and you've got one of the greatest teams of all time
