OFFICIAL - CAN gone

I’ve never heard of player with 18 months left on a contract openly coming out and saying I’m leaving on a free.

I will bet the club knew what his intentions were and made plans accordingly.

That.

Isn't quite right.

Clubs plan for likely eventualities but Can's agent was still telling the club his client was undecided as recently as March. Clearly the club knew, long before that, what was probably going to happen and planned accordingly, but that isn't the same as it all being worked out behind closed doors whilst outsiders were encouraged to think otherwise. And unless Juventus just enjoyed briefing people that the deal was on/off/on again etc etc for months, they weren't certain, either, until recently. Can's behaved like Owen did - unless you think all of that was just fiction, too - and deserves all the flak he gets.

I can't wait for next season when people keep posting montages of him looking like a boss in a league that makes Lucas look like Gerrard.

I've forgotten him already. I will go on record, officially stating my position that I doubt he will ever win the Ballon d'Or.

Yeah that's about it, decent player but I've written him off when he got injured. He'll probably do great in that shit league and enjoy barbecues with Lucas but who cares

Sorry to see Can leave as he was a very good player. Disappointed not to see a good fee come in for him too. Surprised he's going to Italy.

I'm not sure he wasn't good enough for us. He's a good player and I think he's gonna be a big hit in Italy (look at Lucas).
I didn't like the fact that he ran his contact down like McManaman and Owen before him, hence I will not be following him in Italy and will not be wishing him success there...

I'm ok if he goes on to be a hit at the level of Lucas

Medical in Torino today, before signing for Juve. Guess he wasnt staying in the Premier League then.

Do you think he actually is best suited to a deeper defensive position? Because throughout all the 'money's not the issue' stuff that was coming out during the saga, it was claimed that Klopp preferred to use him in a more attacking role and Can preferred a more defensive role. And for me, a more defensive role would waste a lot of his ability, as well as the fact that we now have better players for that role.

More defensive role would surely mean a lot less running in our system, so he wouldn't want to mess up his hair

It’s because he’s a lazy cunt.

Well it does sort of seem like it. I've seen nothing in his performances that suggests he's suited as a DM. Maybe he's looking forward to walking around most of the game in Italy. If it wasn't about money, nor the competitive nature of the club (hard to complain when your last game is in a CL final), then it's hard to see what the problem was.

Emre Can will recieve a £14million signing-on fee from Juventus.

Emre is currently seen driving around in Turin, singing his arse off to this tune:

Yeah was never about the money. Cunt. Can't wait to see Keita or Fabinho smash him

How exactly is that possible? That means Juve are paying that sum to their top players ... and it's Italy!
