NFL - Offseason, Draft & 2018/19 Season

Rams acquire CB Aqib Talib from Broncos for 2018 5th-round picks

Fucking hell - the Rams secondary will have Talib, Marcus Peters, LaMarcus Joyner and John Johnson ... Best secondary in the NFL ...

Saw that. Are we linked with anyone mate?

I'm guessing Miami had to let Landry go to gain some wiggle room in the cap-market, but fuck me they look desperately light and with a budget closing on cap.

They are the team looking the most perilous to me.

Bears and Buccs look poised to be decent if they have good drafts and agency pick ups.

Oh and Cowboys have a bit of room too I would think.

JJ trading like it's Pokemon?

Taylor to Browns too.. That Rookie QB is going to have a lot of weapons.

Gordon
Landry
Barkley
Taylor to guide him.

Browns doing the business for once.

It's Bizarro world.
Hopefully the Bengals fall to pieces or our division could for once not be a fucking walk in the park

I expect Bungals will finish bottom next year.

With Taylor in place. Browns could flip the #4 pick into two picks including a first round next year.

They are doing the fucking business.

I agree. They could trade down for a late pick with a decent RB and then pick up a draft rookie as I doubt RBs will be at a premium. Go with O-line build in rounds 2 onwards.
Then go with an early pick next year for Landry's replacement.

They are in a great position. But.......it's the fucking Browns. They can yet turn this silk purse into a pigs ear.

Cowboys don't have great crap room - esp as they need to sign Martin (best G in the game imo) & Tank.

If we do trade, it will be in the draft (to trade up for Derwin James or a Roquan Smith)

Fabio for you. Vikings have 47m in cap room to play with. Not a bad place to be.

The NFL app is really good. I'd recommend you download it for your learns.

Beast. Downloaded and perusing

As much as 47m seems good, the supposed need for 2 quarterbacks could be iffy.

30th pick doesn't seem the best either. Any potential trades they could wrangle to get a better pick

They have Case Keenum who is a good Quarterback. They are also in for Kirk Cousins who is a free agent (widely runoured a viking target) and I think they still have Bridgewater who is a pro bowl quarterback who has been out injured.

Have they got an elite QB? No. But Cousins would be a good fit. Their Defence is brilliant. They will be there or there about. A franchise QB in the draft? Doubt it.

Trading up from 30 to the top 15 (where imo all the top 5 QBs will be gone) will take an arm n' a leg. Now way they'll do that.

Agreed. Cousins is about the best bet or they will go with Keenum and pick up a QB down the rounds and work with him.

Cousins and a good rookie? Yup that's probably best case.

I do wonder if Bridgwater can get back. He looked ok back in 2016 (I think it was)

All 3 QBs are due to hit free agency. (Keenum, Bridgewater, Bradford). The fact they haven't tied any of the three down means they are in the market IMO.

I hope we can get a fantasy league going this year.

Also if you get a chance watch the TV show called 'The League' it's so fucking funny.

Yeah i'd do fantasy football. Won my work one this year. Fucking shite at the FPL this year.

Anyway back on topic.

Cousins verbally agreed to sign for Vikes.
Sherman gone to 49ers.
Shelton gone to Pats.

Pats now have 3 first round picks from 2015 on their roster now.

NFC West is looking stronger and stronger.

One of the best. He's at the end of his career, but probably has a few more seasons in him.

Vikings isn't the place where QBs usually go to die. That place is reserved for the wonders of New York Jets.

Chances of happening 3/10 in my opinion. Saints will tie him. (Not literally).

I've pre-registered for the NFL fantasy football game. They will notify me when we are free to organise a draft.

I'd quite like to go traditional if you guys are up for it. Unlike fantasy football UK what you usually do is have a proper draft so only one player can have (eg) Tom Brady.

I know some of you will know this but it would be good to get an idea of numbers who would like to be involved.

The only obligation is that when it's open we need to agree a draft date and all be available for it.
