Mane has broken his thumb and is out of Senegal’s game tomorrow, and a doubt for the game against Huddersfield.

Strapping like that looks more for a tendon like problem than a fracture. It's looks like it's stapped to stop putting excessive strain on one of the tendons that goes across the top of his thumb. I'll be amazed if he doesn't play Saturday.

Well the x-ray showed a fracture to metacarpal I possibly affecting the sesamoid bones. Some tendon involvement is possible in the abductor pollicis brevis or flexor pollicis brevis too.
I say the motherfucker plays.

I'd hire Roy Keane about now. Some in our squad need the gentle healing of being called a cunt.

That and Maguire's tackles last night both received yellow cards with furious reactions from the Spanish bench. Neither were that bad.

Are these friendlies or not? Is slide tackling allowed or not?

One was a bit more dangerous than the other from what I remember but both were well executed with no harm coming to the opponent.

It is a competition. not friendlies

UEFA Nations League

Shaquiri has been very good whenever he's pulled on a red shirt. If one of Salah or Mane is missing I'm confident he will step up and produce a spark we need. He just needs to play smart and not try too much every time he's in possession.

That Koeman is a queer fish and an odd cove to boot. He now claims Van Dyke has been playing with two broken ribs but will be fit to play on Saturday. If you've really got broken ribs you're not even training, let alone playing. This must be the rib equivalent of a cold that's described as 'The Flu'.

Not sure that is his x-ray. If it is, he would need it in a spica cast not bandage. Failing that if its displaced significantly it'll need surgery to be plated.

Put it in a cast and play him FFS. What has this game come to when a sore thumb gets you a sicknote? If he was a keeper, fair enough, but we've no need for him to manipulate the ball with his fucking hand.
