Played in Salah for 1st, released Robertson with a beautiful through ball for the 2nd, beat two players before laying it off to Salah to wriggle his way clear for the 4th. He wasnt our best player but he had a major impact on the game.
 
It was interesting, Mane was once again playing as a playmaker a lot today and it worked much better than against Man United. I was critical of Klopp for trying this tactic in the last game, but today I'm starting to see what he had in mind. Still not convinced it's the right way to go, but intriguing to watch how Mane develops.
 
Its an odd tactic because his passing range is generally the weakest part of his game overall. But he does seem to be able to create space for himself. He was really good today, but pretty poor last week.

I suspect its a tactic that wont work against better quality teams as they will corral him into congested areas and he doesn't really have the quick feet required to play his way out of those situations. Against lesser sides it could work by creating space for Roberston to advance into and drawing a central defender away from Firmino.
