Liverpool v Everton Match Thread

It baffles my mind that anyone can think this was a penalty, we've been fucking robbed.

Seriously?

It's called getting between the man and the ball, it's a perfectly normal course of action, if Lovren had kept his hands up he wouldn't have gone down.

Aldo on Allardyce:

"Essentially, Allardyce has made his millions from the game on the back of being better than three rubbish teams every season and if he manages to finish fourth bottom with whatever team he happens to be with every May, he gets a couple of million quid bonus for his ‘achievement’".

A good summing up, and a refreshing change from the ridiculous brown-nosing from all of the microphone-one's mates in the media.

Except when he had Bolton in the top half on a regular basis which is a major part of his career.

Klopp confirming today that Salah was taken off as a pre caution because of a tight hamstring.
That wont be the news posters who are critical of his in game management wants to here....

Hopefully Salah is alright and will start tomorrow.

Oh, so Fat Sam is a protected, inner circle media favourite now?

For fuck's sake, this is getting embarrassing

No not protected - but you could feel it from the Sky commentry and all the reporting how they wanted to praise him and how he did so well. It was a typical Sam setup - and the only reason they did fuck all as a team was because he does not have his prized asset of a big lumbering shit up front to cause problems for our defenders. You would have to be fucking dumb not to realize how the media were so eager to praise him on his return. I suspect the media like a good 'old' fashion northern english manager - probably likes to chat a lot after few glasses of wine/beer. Don't be surprised if you see Andy Carol in Liverpool in Jan/Feb when Sam signs him - made for each other.

This thread has highlighted a high level of madness for those so insistent on actually believing that starting the 'fab' four (not so 'fab' four IMO) would have made us winners. Its a sign of utter madness to expect that these four would have been the solution to the parked bus team that we faced. They failed against Spartak away, and only succeeded at home because Spartak decided to play with their shorts down, and did well against those no hopers because they were utter shit. We all know what happened against Sevilla - had barely touched the ball in the 2nd half. The evidence of their past failures has been seen by our manager and many on this site - so that's why Klopp started with Solanke up front and wanted to solidify the midfield a bit more rather than playing the 'inconsistent' Coutinho.

The manager was 100% correct in his selection. The let him down against another parked bus. End of story and MORON rant.

It's a good job protecting these players is working then. Eh?

We don't know why Coutinho didn't play, or Firmino. Any other manager would have been crucifed for resting big name players for one of the biggest games of the season. In fact, they were.

We rested players to protect them for the latter part of the season and we dropped points. It's exactly the same thing Rafa used to be criticised for, because he'd wrap players in cotton wool, with one eye on the latter half of the season and we'd lose points in the process. So it was a fruitless exercise. Wood/trees.

I tell you what, if you're want to be a hindsight smart arse, we can all play that game. Maybe Salah and Coutinho shouldn't have needlessly played the full 90 minutes in a game that was well won against Spartak.

It's a selective point. You think Klopp is right in resting these players, yet you hope Salah is ok to start tomorrow, after a potential hamstring issue? So you're happy to risk him, yet you think Klopp was right to rotate on Saturday? Could you contradict yourself any more? If Salah has a genuine injury he shouldn't play, end of, but Klopp needs to sort out his rotation policy and rest them at the right times. One astoundingly obvious and missed opportunity being when we were 7-0 up last week.

Ah... Do shut it mate. Your point came through well. Klopp has no clue and you have all right answers. Yuhuu!!

Jeezzeess, whats crawled under your skin lately?

People were critical of Klopp subbing Salah so early in the game, but then it shows that he was taken off as a precaution. It just shows that maybe the manager knows what he's doing, despite resting some players for the good of the team and the rest of our season.

Klopp said yesterday that Salah was taken off as a precaution and that he isnt injured now, so I hope he plays if he's fit enough. That goes without saying seeing as he's the top scorer in the league and in insane form. But if he feels that tight hamstring at all then he should obviously be rested.

Stop being a crybaby all the time about Klopp and Rodgers, its getting very tiresome.

Do we not do post match threads any more?

The forum has descended into chaos.

My two pennies - Klopp should've started with Coutinho or at the very least brought him on far earlier. It's all very well saying that if player x had made a different decision, we'd have won, but the team on the pitch and what followed reflect the choice of the manager. It was a game set up for someone like Coutinho.

Player x was Mane and player y was Salah. I.e players that those complaining would have 100% started, but missed brilliant opportunities that we had, against all of fat Sam’s genius tactics on holding out for luck.

What a pathetic response. Not once have you tried to address any of my posts, just jibes about moaning, from a typical CDNW airhead.

Don't bother responding if it's more the same incoherent rubbish.
