Great. Does any other club get hit with injuries this regularly on Int duty? Is there some kind of clash between our training styles and others, that sees players regularly break down due to the change? Or are we just really, really fucking unlucky?

Our squad's much able to cope with these injuries this season. Salah needed a rest anyway, Keita needs to be replaced by the Keita we bought, VDV will be fine. Impact on first XI - minimal.

Minor injuries (not sure on Keita yet) it seems, if we're playing the percentage game I'd rather these than season ending ones !

You know, at times like this, I usually grab a banana.
Cheers me right up!

Van Dijk was struggeling with the same rib injury and Mane did his thumb, that isnt down to difference in training, thats just bad luck.

Keita was seen training on his own the day before the match, so its more that these nations are taking bigger risks and maybe starting players who arent fully fit.

The pitches are also in a pretty bad state compared to the PL ones.

We've got plenty in the squad to cover all this, no big drama. Will be good to see some of the fringe players that deserve a shot.

I put it down to the pitches / medical attention in Africa.

I've seen one article that claimed there was no stretcher available so he was carried off by a teammate
