Is obvious we need a new keeper after tonight's effort..

So who do we bring in..??

Do we throw the money at it like we did with van dijk or do we go for an up and coming keeper with massive potential, that has the class to take his game to the next level..?

Either way who do we bring in..??

Im gutted we lost.. But imho.. If someone had said we would reach a Champions league final at the beginning of the season, I would of took that..

    Take stock guys..

We got beat by Real Madrid in the champs league final..

Think about that for a minute.. Absolutely no shame in that

Yes we still need a new keeper, weve gone the unproven route too many times. Id be inclined to go for proven quality and hopefully put the issue to bed for the best part of a decade. Oblak, Donnarumma, Handanovic or Allison in that order.

I wish I knew who we could go after - Allison?  Meh ... Oblak?  Are we going to spend 140 mill (his new release clause I think)?  who?

    Donnarumma?
    Becker?
    Cillisen?
    Oblak?

Fuck it.. a top keeper wins things.. Look at De Gea.

Spend a wad on him.. Whoever it is.

We'd be paying through the nose for a new keeper after tonight.

The only 'top keeper' on that list is Oblak.
Donnarumma has had a very tough season at Milan - a few proper clangers too.
Becker has had a really good season but Roma will fleece us.
Cillisen - he's been a back up with Barca for two years.

A new keeper is our number one priority for this summer.  Has to be top class...we have to be prepared to spend big.

It's a tough one. I just can't see us paying the money it'd take to get an Allison or an Oblak (and that's assuming it's just a question of money).

We need to find the next big thing. No idea who that is.

Usual names mentioned above. But perhaps,

    Timo Horn?
    The Burnley keepers?
Buffon for 2 years to blood someone?
Albon Lafont (Toulouse)? He's young and been in a relegation battle this year. The games I've seen him, he's been great all round though.

They don't need to be the next big thing though to be better than Karius and Mignolet.

We break the bank like we did for Virgil.  I do feel for Karius. Career altering game. Hope hendo or someone is there for him tonight. The shame he will feel is going to be very lonely. No comfort to us. But, YNWA.

The 2nd goal was kind of forgivable, big occasion and all that, but that third goal shows Karius leant nothing from the Roma game when he made a similar mistake. Luckily for him in that game it hit the bar.

We have to break the bank and sign someone top class... fuck Butland and hoping he develops further. Fuck Horn and hoping he’s top class. Sign our de Gea and be fucking done with it. Can’t believe tonight. Just fucking sort it out and stop fucking hoping it’s sorted.

The overhead kick was forgivable??? No fucking keeper in the world would stop that.

The other 2 were shambolic. If a 10 year old did either of them, you’d be pissed with them. He needs fucking off now without a doubt.

Feel sorry for him on a personal level - imagine having to live with that, but he’s a pretty awful goalkeeper.

I meant the first goal was kind of forgivable.

It's all about learning from your mistakes for me. Everybody gets it wrong from time to time but if you don't learn from them you should be done.

DeGea was unproven when they signed him and took 2 or 3 seasons to reach the level hes at now.

If ever proof was needed, tonight confirmed our need to get a keeper of oblak quality.
    No more mediocre signings
