This season (excl. his last EPL appearance against Burnley), it's 20.2 (xG) vs 23 (conceded).

For Sunderland: xG 135.4, conceded 117
For Liverpool: xG 162.5, conceded 179

So in the table you posted before, he would have an "xG prevented" score of -2.8, placing his 2nd worst among the top-6 GKs after Cech. Sounds about right.

We did the same last season when mong face stopped being a mong for a few months. That turned out well.

So long as Karius looks arrogant and thinks every supporter is a cunt...he will perform Well for us

We'd be better getting an older keeper so he could learn from i.e. casillas or buffon to push him.

I wouldn't want to deal with them Rurik. They would end up buying Salah for a pittance whilst we end up with Navas and our dick in our hands
Perhaps I am being somewhat naive but I think that those days are mostly gone.

It's Madrid, they would do anything and everything if it gives them an upper hand. Cunts

Indeed, there's more chance of this being like Lovren, Mignolet and Moreno having a decent run of form than of him being the real deal.

FFS, when will we learn.

Roma want 80-90 mill £ for Allisson. It could be a bargaining tool, or just plain common sense to drop our interest with that insane fee.
Mignolet will leave this summer, and we'll probably sign a goalkeeper regardless of Karius form.

I hope so, I know it's harsh on Karius, but we've been here before, allowing some good form to fool us that a player is good enough. The sad thing is that Karius may well be good enough, but I don't want to risk it, sign the right four players in the summer and we're title contenders.

Correct. Karius may indeed turn out to be good, but we can't take that risk. We're plush with cash - we can't afford not to spend when we're on the verge of building a title-contending squad.

It would suck for Karius not to be rewarded for good form, but 1/3rd of a season is too small a sample size to trust him fully. Tough luck.

As I haven't watched Allison much I am not anyone to say he is Worth 80+ M pounds. Not letting in much in Serie A is different to PL. Reina has a strong record in Serie A this season.

Karius is more than a few games in form. He has shown maturity and real Development. If it is enough, I am not sure, but based on what I have seen of the usual suspects to replace him in PL (Butland, Pickford etc) I would rather stick With Karius. But if we bring in someone from outside PL we should rather spend a lot on one we really believe will take us forward, than chance on someone like Karius.

Yeah we are plus With Cash, but we have a Whole midfield to rectify and I would rather we spent there. Also a reliable alternative to Sane and Salah will be needed, and while it can be a young and upcoming guy these doesn't tend to be cheap either. Don't get me wrong, but Karius spending half a season proving himself might pay off rather than getting a Bravo type of solution. We will keep on letting in goals NeXT season as well, but maybe a rock solid partner to VvD and additions in mdifield will limit that just as much as a new goalie.

But isn't there just as much risk as bringing a new keeper in & assuming they will hit the ground running & be amazing for us. We may bring in an Allison only to find that our open game doesn't really suit him & he's another dud.

Wasn't there reports from one of the itk journos, Joyce maybe, about a month ago that we had dropped out interest Allisson.
It all seems like we are trying to give an air of nonchalance towards the signing, more than likely to try and keep the transfer fee at a reasonable price

A centre back and midfielder is now a stronger priority than a GK for me.
I was one of Karius’s biggest doubters but he’s actually been doing very well. If he keeps it up I wouldn’t replace him. Not while we’re piss weak in other positions.
