Ca-ching...£8 mill

He's a decent player and will do a good job for them, he's certainly good enough to play in the PL, so it'll be interesting to see if they come back up and how he does in The Championship

I had hopes for Stewart, he looked good. But eventually I realised that he was just a "neat and tidy" player. Where were the booming 40-yard passes? Where were the dynamite shots? £8 million seems a good deal, but maybe I haven't got my head round the 2017 transfer market.

Decent player. There was times where he should have got more minutes, but hey ho, never mind

I honestly don't get how the fuck we've let him go. We're gonna have 60 games next season if we're challenging for shit... Last year we had 40 odd and had the worst end to a season since the 50s, the squad was that thin. So what do we do? Sell two CMs, an area where we're totally lacking and rely on Henderson staying fit (not going to happen), Gini (average at best) and Can (shit)?

Wut? Maybe the Keita deal is in the bag after all. If not, WE'RE DOOMED.

Well done to Alex Inglethorpe. He knew him from his Spurs days, so when he was languishing in the ressies there Inglethorpe persuaded Rodgers to sign him on a free. Then we sell him for a fee that could rise to over £9m.

Good luck to Stewart, he loves LFC and worked his socks off trying to impress, but it was never going to be easy to establish himself as more than a bit player. His game is to get the ball and pass it, keeping everything really simple, so the Hull fans will probably be underwhelmed but he could do a decent job for them.

He'll be back in the prem before long. I'd imagine him to be a first team regular for whoever Pulis manages in 2 years..m

Good post. Jack Colback proved to be an adequate midfielder for the champions. I think Kevin Stewart will prove to be a much better midfielder.

Yep a decent profit.

If he was one of the potentials to make it what chance does that give the other players trying to come through?

He's 24 in September..

Ejaria and Grujic are younger and look to have a lot more about them. I didn't mind Stewart, he had a cracking game against West Ham where he dominated players who were far bigger and stronger. I doubt he would have featured much this year and we got a decent offer..

The younger lads would see this transfer as an indication that even bit part players at Liverpool are in demand and can earn a decent living if things don't quite work out. It might make them consider sticking around for a bit longer rather than trying to demand first team football at 21.

Stewart is in a far better position than Sinclair & Jordan Rossiter who both left because they felt that could forward their careers and earn more elsewhere.

Exactly.

He's 23, he's not some kid. He failed to make the breakthrough at Spurs too, it doesn't seem to have effected their up and coming players.

A very good chance because most of them are more attacking options, have excellent pace and are younger. Sorry to be the bearer of good news.

We really need to have a plan for DM.
You get the feeling that Klopp doesnt do orthadox DM with Lucas and Stewart leaving it does leave us light.
Im not sure Can has the disciple and Henderson the legs for the fight.

DM's are for defensive shitty negative teams that prefer to destroy instead of swarm forward in numbers while ripping teams playing with DM a new arsehole.... we play with no DM.

And win ZERO trophies.

Lot of teams with DM's win zero trophies as well.... Real, Barca, Bayern and other big teams play to destroy the others by attacking them. Smallminded teams like Manc United, Chelsea etc play with DM so they can destroy the other teams effort.

Only Jesus (or JJ) has disciples

Even when we were short last season he got little to no minutes. It wouldn't be any different this season. He seemed to have fallen behind even Woodburn and TAA.

£8m is a great fee tbh.

Yeah I'm not massive arsed, just worried that it's yet more out the door who haven't been replaced

Bang on.

Even if players don't make the grade with us, they still see we lead to a proper career.

This is why so many still go to Chelsea despite having zero chance of cracking that lineup.

Player gets career, we get decent fee. Wins.

You are genuinely an idiot.
