India pooned in Pune

Ha - seven wickets fall for eleven runs, an English style collapse, should make me very happy but this is heavily tempered by the fact this was inflicted by the Aussies, shame both sides cannot lose!

I suppose there is a crumb of comfort in the fact that Monty Panasar, as a tour coach, is inspiring this performance. Shame they couldn't find a place for him to coach us on the India tour, same as we should have done with Swann.

India absolutely smashed and it wasn't even a bad pitch judging from the highlights. Just good accurate tight spin bowling. How we miss a decent spinner

Ha history repeats itself - India set up a stupidly bad pitch for their spinners win the toss and collapse losing the last 6 wickets for 23. Journeyman Lyon taking 8 - 50. Serves the fuckers right.

I'm watching the second ODI West Indies v England from Antigua.

They have Hawkeye for decision reviews, but not Hotspot or Snicko.

Early in his innings Jason Roy feathered a catch to the keeper, which the umpire gave not out. The West Indians referred the decision to the third umpire, who only had the sound track to check contact between bat and ball. The sound revealed a clear snick as the ball passed the bat.

The third umpire, after endless reviews, ruled "not out" and Jason Roy is now putting the Windies bowlers to the sword.

It seems particularly unfair as the West Indians have now lost their review!

Seems a bit daft not to have all the tech available.
It worked against us with that umpires call on Rashids lbw appeal though, how on earth, if half the ball is well below the bails, can that be umpires call.

.

I can understand that the West Indians cannot afford all the bells and whistles for full-scale DRS. It did occur to me that as the Indians are generating such huge amounts of money from the IPL, there might be a case for spreading the dosh around a bit.

Surely the ICC which has cash reserves running into hundreds of millions should be shelling out for it. Their proposed income is projected to be 2.5 billion dollars in the next few years! I don't think the BCCI would be wanting to help the WIs after their last tour of India !!

Hahaha, India went on to win the match, took the last 6 Aussie wickets for 11 runs. Aussies needed 188 to win the game but got bowled out for 112.

Ha India lost their last 6 for 30 odd in their second innings too. These English style implosions are really catching on! How was that Warner review upheld though, really doesn't look out at all.

Only just noticed this thread.

Been a fascinating series - I've watched almost every bloody ball. But still extremely dispiriting that Australia have fought so hard, played so well, and are about to crumble at the very end.

I think serious questions have to be asked about Boof's coaching ability. This is an Australian setup replete with young talent, and in my view - a thoroughly beatable Indian team - and he hasn't been able to get the job done, from a very winnable positiopn.

Even last night with the game still alive, he instructs Wade to go out and block. 7 down, into the tail end, with a small lead and he tells Wade to batpad for 90 balls. Fucking go for it for fucks sake.

Doesn't absolve the selectors either - whom for some reason decided Shaun Marsh was repeatedly a better option than Khawaja, and somehow stuck with Mitch until he broke down injured. Or the players either - some of whom have had really poor series'. Looking at you Dave Warner.

SA about to cock up a series win against New Zealand on the final test.
Up to De Kock & Faf to see if we can survive day 5.
