So, we're obviously expecting some signings coming in, with us hoping to cover some key positions - wide forward, striker, CM, CB and LB. So 5 key positions and with the quality we're hoping to bring in, that's not going to be cheap. So who is going and how much can we reasonably expect to make?
 
Moreno 5-10m
Lucas 5m
Sakho 20m
Sturridge (if an offer of) 25m+ comes in
Klavan 3m
Flanagan 2m


Thats about it I reckon.
Ings and Origi maybe but I reckon Klopp rates them and we will need some depth.
 
Moreno - I will be amazed if we get 10m+
Lucas - 5m (or less)
Ings - 8m
Sakho - I cannot see us getting more than 15m.
Markovic - 15m (Silva likes him and wants him)

Studge - he'll stay. No one will offer more than 10m
Klavan - he'll stay. 4th CB
Flanno - he'll stay. He'll try to make it here - one more year before leaving.

I don't think we'll sell Lucas, nor think that we should. With the amount of games we have coming we'll need him at some point, and he'll do a decent job, as he tends to do.
 
We need to increase our squad - so I actually don't expect too many people going.

That saying, for various reasons, Sakho & Markovic are gone.

I reckon Moreno and Sturridge are borderline.

Flanagan should go.

Lucas won't go.

That's about it.

Yes, I know, I know! It is crazy talk. But there were those rumours about us planning on spending 150m this summer. And I'm in fantasist mode.
 
I dont think we will spend big on a full back.
Maybe a young up and comer.
 
In today's market I can see us getting much more than some of you are forecasting. SOme of those figures are Championship amounts. THough a lot depends on whether the player is going overseas (Moreno, so a lower figure) or likely to stay in the PL (Markovic, so a higher figure).

I also think some are under-valuing Keita and over-valuing VVD, if no-one else is in for him then we'll pay less than asking. Studge, Ings and Origi are all staying unless we get Lacazette (or similar). These are minimums + add-ons and buy-back clauses for most.

Ojo: 5m
Stewart: 5m
Randall: 3m
Brannigan: 5m
Wisdom : 4m (the benchmark figure for youngsters with limited LFC experience)

Ings ? : 15m (I can't see us keeping 5 strikers even without another star transfer, making it 6, so at least 1-2 have to go. Woodburn maybe on loan as he needs better and more games than we can offer him at any level)

Williams and Wilson may go too depending on who we bring in potentially stymying their route to the first team.

TOTAL: minimum £94 mil (add 25m for Studge if we buy a striker)

Van Dijk - 55m
Kierney (please, pretty please) - 30m

Total: 170m - 94m = net spend of 77m. I reckon that is far more acceptable to FSG even though the rumoured net spend is 140m.

If we get Lacazette or another expensive, highly rated, striker (say 50m), then Studge goes too for 25m.

Clubs are asking for ridiculous fee's for players but we should stand against the tide and sell players at prices from 2 years back. We are not Asda! Spurs want £20m for a defender thats played 5 FUCKING games, but you want literally give Sakho away.

I swear nobody knows long he has left , various MSM outlets say he has 12 months the left whilst others say hes out of contract In July.

Solanke is our striker signing. Wouldn't make sense to add anyone else.

I don't see many leaving.

Sakho is clearly done at the club, thats why we're unlikely to get more than we paid for him.

Markovic and Moreno are probably the two others likeliest to go. We'll get feck all for Moreno but we might get close to our money back on Markovic.
 
I live seeing people's estimates on sales. I can't see us making any notable sales apart from Markovic and Sakho. Any youth/ academy players who go will all be like £2m or under, and I'd expect us to agree more loans than sales of that bunch anyway as that seems to be out go-to approach.

Is there a premium for black players? He won a youth tournament in which he was a bit-part player. He has stalled in his last season with us, and barely got a look in at all, even when we were very stretched. Clubs will know that. Nobody is going to pay 15m. No way!

That's insane. One, we should hold on to him, he's a really good prospect, and two, if Bournemouth paid almost three times that for Ibe then they're just having a laugh. Yes, Ibe had some games under his belt but he's no better than Kent.
