... what's your preferred solution for the PSG game? Vote and explain why.

I chose Shaqiri at "false 9". He played this position in a couple of games in pre-season and I was surprised how confident he looked playing centrally, making runs in behind and holding up the ball like a proper CF. The solution with him on the right looks natural, of course, since this is the position he usually played at Stoke, but then we also have to move Salah, which means you are changing one position to accommodate another. I won't be unhappy with either solution (including Sturridge), but Shaq in the middle seems like the most intriguing one.

Sturridge can't have any complaints after his lazy showing at the weekend. I'd play Shaq as the false 9, because he'll still do all the donkey work and hold up play that Bobby does.

I'd have Shaq, but would need Keita to be in the midfield trio with licence to drive forwards to support too. I feel Shaq could get drawn into playing deep to cross and we need to make sure there are bodies in the box.

Actually a little bit excited at the prospect.

Either of the first two, tbh it's a lovely position to be in, as Brizzle says, I'm quite excited to see what happens.

Shaq is probably my choice even if he is an unknown quantity in a Liverpool shirt.

Sturridge isn’t going to work hard enough and Salah hasn’t exactly been firing on all cylinders so should stay where he is.

In pre-season Shaqiri look like he’s come here to work. He’s hungry. That’s what we need in games like this.

In fairness, Studge led the line well in the preseason matches.

Solanke up top as straight replacement working his ass off for 60 mins.

Then Sturridge/Shaq for 30 mins.

Sturridge is the obvious choice as it's sort of a like for like swap without moving anything around, but, I think we'd probably see more end product out of Shaq by moving it around.

Any three from Mane, Firmino, Salah, Studge and Shaq is fine by me (with the one exception of Firmino, Studge and Shaq). I just feel that they will all work well together and with the flexibility in the way our front three interact it isn't that important (obviously MFS is preferred). The midfield is a far more important conundrum to ensure they get a decent supply whilst still restricting PSG.

He's the hardest working alternative we have right now.

Fortunately, with Salah and Mane playing either side of him, we'd retain plenty of goal threat.
Solanke and Origi are both injured. So it has to be between Sturridge and Shaqiri.

It would be a dick move to play Salah up front when he's struggling for form. It's not the same as when he was flying last season and could have played anywhere. That leaves no option but Shaqiri, with Sturridge being asked to risk his career and/or life for the last 15 minutes.
