(He's alive) Aubameyang

It's a reasonable fee in today's market. He will want and get 250k a week wages and for that reason we are out the running. Chelsea look more likely.

£63m ? how has he not been snapped up by any of the big clubs already ??
Age. He's just turned 28. Perfect for a player at the top of his game but if clubs are looking at it in pure financial terms then that's going to be depreciate pretty damn quickly. I'd still take him and could negotiating on that figure see it drop to £50-55m ? Possibly.

He's 28 no?

I didn't mean his bad or even average but the way some want him I expected his stats to be on par with the very best
Ahhh, apologies, I thought I was in the mbappe (marquee signing thread) when I wrote that reply. My bad.

Any striker offering a goal every two games has generally been regarded as amongst the best though.

I think if we're gonna spend silly money it'll be on a player a bit younger, but who knows.

Don't get me wrong he's still quality I just thought his stats were on Suarez level

I badly want us to sign him and there's more to it than just personal stats. He and Klopp know each other and worked tremendously well together when Klopp was still at Dortmund, he's as perfect a fit for Klopp's style as there could be and he could therefore hit the ground running, from which the whole team would get a huge boost.

All reports are he is going to China for £500k a week.

Well, I guess there can be such a thing as "an offer he can't refuse" in football as well as elsewhere, but he'd pretty much be selling the rest of his top flight career as well as his current playing services. Let's wait and see if he'll actually do that.

I would be very surprised if he did. The Govt. have just slapped a 100% tax on any foreign imports - which would mean his fee would be (to the club) at the very least ca. €150m + salary.
