Going to be interesting this one

I wonder if Rafa's lawyers are going to have a look

Bet Rooney is torn apart.

I wonder what will be in it about racist Suarez and King Kenny's handling of it

It seems rather odd timing I have to say. Utd having their worst start in 20 years etc etc. If (as rumour has it) he is critical of Rooney - Surely that is only going to add even more pressure on him and Moyes. Ultimately I'd be delighted if that happened to be honest.

There's no way I'd ever line the old bastard's pockets but I have to admit there are one or two things on which I'd be interested to see what he has to say. Some have been mentioned already. Others are the Coolmore debacle and the reason(s) for selling Stam when he did.

There is bound to be some controversial stuff in the book to encourage sales. Sporting autobiographies are usually as dull as ditchwater so the publishers insist on including some nasty stuff to attract attention from the media when the book comes out.

And the Roy keane TV interview that got pulled where he slagged off the squad.

According to BBC football gossip today, there is nothing in the book about Rooney that will cause problems.

Incidentally, the Express is reporting that Evra will leave the club at the end of the season because of " something personal"

I'd imagine he's going to properly lay into Rafa - He really did hate the guy.

I'm not going to buy it or read it. I just hope some interesting bits will be posted here or elsewhere.

Referring to that twat as 'Fergie'? Really?

What should he call him? Just curious is all. I'd always use Ferguson myself but don't see 'much' wrong with Fergie. It's not as if the OP is using it affectionately. Isn't that what Kenny used to call him in interviews as a sly dig? i.e. not conforming to the sir bullshit.

Publishers will always bring this kind of book out between late September and early November. It's all about exploiting the Christmas market. So Moyes was always going to get this landing on his lap at this stage in the season. But it IS very amusing to see happen.

Some of the early quotes from the book have been released and they are shocking to say the least.

'We tried to sign Gerrard'

'We tried to sign Torres'

I don't know about you lot but I'm stunned!..........

In other news - The colour of the pen I usually write with is black. Sometimes it's blue though.

Fergie on Benitez: 'Mistake he made was to turn rivalry personal. Once you made it personal you had no chance ... I had success on my side'

Sam Wallace@SamWallaceIndy4m
Fergie on Benitez: 'So, on TV Benitez puts his glasses on & produces this sheet of paper. Facts. The facts were all wrong.'

Sam Wallace@SamWallaceIndy11m
Ferguson on Benitez: “It amazed me that he used to walk into press conferences & say he had no money to spend. He was given plenty’

Oliver Kay@OliverKayTimes1m
Fergie on Rafa: "Benitez had more regard for defending and destroying a game than winning it. I found #LFC hard to watch when he was there"

On a sidenote,

Oliver Kay@OliverKayTimes5m
Ferguson says Rooney told him in 2010 that #mufc should have signed Ozil from Werder Bremen. "It was none of his business."

Sam Wallace@SamWallaceIndy8s
Fergie on @Torres: 'borderline Machiavellian. He had a touch of evil, though not in a physical sense & he had that total change of pace'
.
ManUtd Stuff@ManUtdStuff3m
Sir Alex on Kenny Dalglish: "A few of the signings made in Kenny's time haunted me at night."

Echo has some points about Fergie re: Rafa ("made it personal"), Kenny ("They needed 8 more players") and Downing ("pussy")

Benitez really hurt Fergie didn't he? Probably because he was one of the first people in football to tell it as it was.

Anfield has not moved on. Even the dressing rooms are the same as 20 years ago.

What's that got to do with how close the team was to challenging for the title? The whisky-addled guttersnipe. I suppose Bolton have a better chance because they've got retractable beds in the VIP boxes.

[article]Ferguson was highly critical of Liverpool and Kenny Dalglish for their role in the Patrice Evra-Luis Suarez affair.

On Liverpool's decision to wear T-shirts in support of the Uruguayan, he described it as "the most ridiculous thing for a club of their stature".

He added that nobody at Liverpool had to power to rein Dalglish in, saying his compatriot fell back "on the old chip on the shoulder".[/article]

[article]Here's the Scot on the the Anfield club's support for Luis Suarez after he was accused of racially abusing Patrice Evra:

"Liverpool wore those T-shirts supporting Suarez, which I thought was a ridiculous thing for a club of Liverpool's stature. I felt we handled it well, mainly because we knew we were in the right.

"The FA asked us several times not to discuss it, but Liverpool would not leave the subject alone. David Gill would not have allowed any manager to handle it in that way."[/article]
