Igor Tudor - Udinese (Head Coach)

Wow! That's a great appointment for Dortmund and long overdue. Best manager they've had since Klopp. I'm glad he's not going to coach Everton (he rejected them for Nice last year) or one of our rivals.

Very unimaginative appointment by the Italians. Why not Conte or even Sarri? They have a new generation of players and a more attacking style of play among some Italian club teams, wish they hired a manager who could push that process even further instead of a "safe hands" one like Mancini. Although you could make an argument that the national team coach should not be too much of a revolutionary and the real progress is done at the club level.

Indeed. On the back of leading a Zenit St. Petersburg side to a 4th place finish (despite their spendings), drawing 30% of their league games along the way.

It has made rapid progress over the last four years and I am delighted they have asked myself and Chris to spearhead the next stage of the club’s development.

As a manager you have to look for certain aspects of what can be achieved at a new club and the possibilities here are boundless. There is a great deal of work to be done on and off the pitch to fulfil the potential of Salford City and I can’t wait to get started. Even though this season has just ended, our work in preparation for the club’s first season at National level will continue throughout the summer. I look forward to meeting everybody connected with SCFC and developing the relationships which are so important to any club’s success”

Sarri has been linked with the Chelsea job I think, but Conte would have been the obvious choice.
