CL 1/4 Finals : Draw and Matches

........ and the second leg away is about as bad draw as we coulda received that said....
Someone has already given the stats for that above dispelling the notion that there is any advantage (actually there may be for SOME teams, e.g. us at Anfield, however that definitely doesn't apply to the morgue called the Etihad).

Actually the more I contemplate it the more I quite like the fact that we are at home in the first leg now, it means that at worst we will still be in the tie when we go to City and with every chance (look at the amount of goals we score away from home, which could be very important) of turning them over. And that's assuming we don't batter them at Anfield - which is a possibility with the way City play.

It's win win for them I guess - one of the teams they hate the most will go out, and in between they get to play City to stop them winning the title, and whoever wins the CL game will probably find Barca/Real waiting to knock us out. But most likely it means that they think we will go out, as I actually believe we will win the fucking thing if by miracle we get passed Man City which is unlikely at best.

No chance of the scums catching city. No way in hell.

Im coming round to the idea of playing against city. If we can take a lead with us for the second leg, we could win the tie at city as you would back us to score in any match over 90 minutes and with away goals counting that will help us. 11 v 11, we are a good match for city and they know that. City's style of football, will always give the front 3 a chance to score

Good point. But last time we played City we won 4-3 and even for a lead that's a substantial amount of awaygoals to equal.

If we leave Anfield with any lead at all I'd fancy us to score first at the Emptyhad. It's all in the first leg for me.

The issue wasn't that he lost a header .. it's that he shouldn't have been up there competing for it in the first place ! And it's not the first time he's done this daft shit of running into midfield thereby breaking our back line into pieces .... see Spurs. Klopp referred to this, in so many words, both after the match and in his pre-Watford media chat.

Against City I want to see Matip and not Lovren. Matip might not be a world beater and is sometimes susceptible, but he isn't a loose cannon and is definitely better at passing into midfield.
Matip was great against City, last time we played.

Yep, if we shit the first leg we won't be coming back at the Etihad. But if we dick them or keep it close then we're even money or better on the road.
