Liverpool have made an £11m offer for Christian Pulisic, Borussia Dortmund's 17-year-old winger.

I hope this is true, but I've no idea why he'd move to us, I can't see him getting much more game time here than he's already getting at Dortmund.

Klopp rates him very highely and promoted him to train with the first team when he signed him. (joyce)
World class talent according to those who watch the Bundesliga.

11 million wont be enough according to German fans on Twitter.
Interesting this:

Looks plausible, the player is worried about his development and status in the team next season after they bought around 3 new players in his position - now it's up to Dortmund whether they will want to cash in or try to persuade Pulisic to stay.

Right-footed winger, good dribbler who likes to burst into space. For sure the most talented American player since Donovan - from a marketing standpoint if he becomes a star at Liverpool the rewards would be enormous. Klopp knows him very well.

With the addition of a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed.

I guess we wont have made a bid for him if it wasnt encouraged from the players side.

Also, I think Klopp has some insight into whats going on in his old club, if a bid has truly been made it's not by chance.
Dortmund might need the money.

I think if the kid is American - then the owners should step forward and have a word with his dad/mum or whatever. If I think the one thing that showed in last weeks game is that we are the same team as last year without Mane - we another game changer with pace and someone who can take on players.

His family lives 30 minutes from me. I'm sure they'd love a bunch of rabid Liverpool fans sharing their love...

[article]Liverpool have submitted an £11 million bid for Borussia Dortmund’s American teenager Christian Pulisic.

However, Jürgen Klopp’s former club are resisting all attempts by their former coach to lure one of the most exciting young talents in Europe to Anfield.

Pulisic, a versatile winger who signed for the German club’s Academy during Klopp’s reign in the Bundesliga, enjoyed an instant impact when promoted to the Dortmund first team last season.

Klopp is desperate to reunite with the youngster and continue his development on Merseyside but it is proving a difficult task convincing his former club to do business.

Dortmund have no wish to sell the 17-year-old and it will take all Liverpool’s power of persuasion to conclude a deal before the end of the transfer window. It seems Klopp is likely to be disappointed despite making an incredible offer that would comfortably make Pulisic the most expensive teenager in Liverpool history.

After impressing Dortmund’s scouts while playing in his native US, Pulisic joined the German club’s under-17 side 18 months ago.

Such is his talent, he has been fast-tracked to the senior squad and was given his debut last February. In nine appearances he contributed two goals – making him the youngest player to score twice in the Bundesliga. This has served only to intensify the excitement around the player, who has made his senior international debut for the US.

The size of Liverpool’s offer would suggest Pulisic is a player Klopp is intent on pursuing, although it remains to be seen if it will be possible to conclude a deal over the coming days.[/article]

Never mind Dortmund, why on earth would he come here ? He played 32 times for them last season and won't get sort of exposure here.

29 games according to transfermarkt and only 4 of them were starts at the senior level. Supposedly he is worried that he will get LESS playing time next season after they bought Gotze, Schurrle, Dembele, and Emre Mor – all players in his position. If he comes here, I would think Klopp would send Ojo out on loan and Pulisic would take his place in the squad. It looks like Dortmund have bought one player too many and now find themselves in a bit of a bind about how to keep all of their young talents happy and involved. They would surely prefer to send Pulisic on loan, but for the player himself it's a far less attractive option than joining Liverpool and his former mentor.

He's also got 2 years left on his contract. If he wont sign a new one, they'll be in yet another 1 year left situation next summer if he goes out on loan.
We probably have to increase our bid a lot and the player has to push for a move if this is to happen.

With Mor, Schurrle, Gotze, Reus, Dembele, Kagawa, Castro and even Ramos - they've got some attacking options in those positions......

And add Guerreiro as well, who can play as a winger as well as attacking LB – but Borussia already have a very capable left-back in Schmelzer. Pulisic for all his talent is probably #9 in the pecking order for the 3 AM positions. We have Coutinho, Firmino, Mane, Sturridge, Lallana, Wijnaldum, Origi, Ings and Ojo (the latter 2 likely to go on loan) competing for 4 positions – that's a bit easier to see a path forward, especially for a bona-fide pacy winger, of which we don't have too many apart from Mane and Ojo.
