Boxing please

It looks more brutal, but it's far safer than boxing because you're not being consistently punched in the head for twelve rounds, and your chances of dying as a result are therefore far lower.

Dunno about that...don't they wear knuckle gloves in UFC? Think I'd rather take a punch off someone wearing boxing gloves.....also I'd say more than 50% of shots are taken to the body in boxing.

The thickness of padding over the knuckle/wrap is not that different. However, since the MMA glove has a lot of exposed parts with little to no padding, you can't throw haymakers as the risk of breaking your hand is too high. Boxers don't have that concern, and also their punching technique and power is on a totally different level to anyone in the UFC. You'd have to be an idiot to rather get punched by a boxer.

Boxing knockouts are brutal. Imagine the power their brains get impacted with, it puts them to sleep before their body has even hit the floor. That's why they run the risk of never waking up. Very rarely does a UFC fighter get put to sleep like that. They usually hit the floor due to their brain losing its sense of balance rather than being shut down, then they get pounced on and hammered from above forcing the ref to step in and call it a night. The risk of being killed like that is far lower, before you even take the steroids into account. Once people learn more about the skills and variety of far more interesting matchups in MMA, and learn that it's also way safer, that's when it could replace boxing as the mainstream combat sport.

Paid for the event, watched the last 4 fights and loved every minute of it....all worth it for that KO.

GIDDY'AAAAAP BEEFY LAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHat a brutal knockout....jelly legs Eubank overwhelmed.

Lets get the rematch on at Anfield baby I'm there.

Honestly thought Eubank would win by 3-4 rounds if not by late stoppage.

Crazy how Liam's trainer actually had to save Chris from potentially suffering a lot more damage.....what was he thinking at the end walking over to Liam?

I was spending the cash after giving the first two rounds to smith.
I need to start saving the cash now, lost tens of grand the last year....fucking Betfred rinsing me.

Great fight great night, shame the main event ended so soon it was warming up as Eubank had a pretty good 3rd.

Fury dodging Usyk and Joshua fighting a no mark tonight. The absolute state of the sport.

The sport is bigger than just AJ Fury and Usyk.

Sooner Fury retires for good the better.

AJ has lost twice to Usyk so who can he fight next? Franklin should’ve got the decision against Whyte…it’ll be an interesting fight, one of course you dont have to watch.

What’s out there? Loma fighting again. So what. GGG over the hill. Canelo Ryder sounds shit. Smith brothers? Nah.

Loma Haney is a great fight, as is Tank Garcia.

Big noise GGG has called it time on his career and rightly so.

Wouldn't look past Canelo Ryder, the outcame may well be predictable but it'll be a good scrap.

Fulton Inoue is also on and that's easily the biggest fight that could be made down in that division.

Katie Taylor Chantelle Cameron another pretty legit fight to make if you're into womens boxing.

There have been some rescheduled, you may or may not know about Vergil Ortiz and Eimantas Stanionis....both cracking fighters.

What else? It looks like Eubank Benn finally gonna be on again in Dubai for June....despite all the previous, another big fight.

Okolie Riakporhe is more or less signed all that's left is to find which venue, wouldn't be a spectacle but it's #1 v #2 in England at Cruiser.

I love boxing, but it is getting boring though. So many obvious top fights are not being made + the increase in dodgy scorecards!
The scorecards is the only obvious downside besides Fury, there is corruption there but it's not near as bad as in football.

There's 3 fights out there to be made and I believe 2 of them will happen (Bivol Beterbiev and Crawford Spence).

AJ looks finished.

Even though he's just about doing enough to win the rounds, he doesn't have the power speed or work rate.

I scored it 118-111 for AJ.

Won comfortably enough but he looked shit, and probably got a broken nose.

More action after the fight than during it.

It even feels like everything he says is forced, and he really wants to be presenting The One Show talking about the latest updates in farming and customer service.

Yeah but come on. He's been to prison and was a drug dealer before.

Plus he's struggled with mental issues too.

The only card he hasn't used yet is the religious one. Use that, and you can you retire. And then make a comeback in your 40s for some Apollo Creed style matchup or some punkass Youtuber, and your life as a boxer is complete.

I’d like to see Chinese Fury vs Fury himself. Make it happen please. It’d be an interesting fight.

No it wouldn't, Fury would toy around and box the head off Zhang.

What would be more interesting is Zhang v AJ.

Seems to be rumours floating about from few camps that we could see a mini 4 way being held somewhere in the middle east between Wilder AJ Usyk & Fury where all 4 would fight on the same night and winner of each meeting in the final.
