Father's horse is running in Down today. Springfield Grey. 7.10pm race. Fingers crossed for a decent run, long way to travel up.

Good stuff Onions. I had 20 on Barca with BTTS.
PaddyPower are doing bet €20 and get €10 free on in play bets for the Ireland v England game, seems like free money as we're shite. England are 21/20 to win too.

Got a tip for the 2.00 at Goodwood, Direct times. He's 7/1 and most bookies are giving 4 places so a decent EW bet.

Again, just a tip I got that I thought I'd share, tis by no means a sure thang.

WTF! I expected Bournemouth to be marginal favourites against Villa but odds-on is crazy....Villa @ 100/30!

Bournemouth are missing their best midfielder from last season Harry Arter and have also stuck with CB's Cook and Elphick; both of whom are long term favourites of mine in the lower leagues but IMO neither of 'em are good enough for the top level. Agbonlahor and Ayew should have a field day against this defence. I have backed Villa.

I'm shit at this.

£10 on Chelsea to win at 2-2
£10 on Arsenal to win when 1-0 down
£10 on Jordan to score yesterday.

Bugger.

It probably won't help to know that I stuck £3 on Brentford not to lose when they were 2 down in the 82nd minute. Their goals in the 92nd and 96th minute made me a very unexpected but very nice £100.

What about West Ham the weekend. 5/4 at home to Leicester.

West Ham / Southampton Double.

In theory I'm supposed to be trying to curtail my weekly betting in favour of season-long bets i.e. trading bets of the winner of the championship, the Scottish championship and the EPL but last weeks price on Villa to win at Bournemouth was too big to refuse. This week I don't see such opportunities so will try to restrain my self and maybe just dabble on a couple of small speculative bets.

I do think West Ham and Southampton look likely winners but at those prices I'll probably give them a miss. I'm looking more at a Palace/Chelsea double on Sunday............Chelsea at 3/1 (Betfair) if Aguero is out is a very tempting price and Palace always have a chance in home matches like this......although I'll wait to see if they pick Wickham in the starting 11.........if they do then I probably won't back 'em.

Again going against my plan of betting big on a weekly basis I did stick a decent wad on us to beat Bournemouth (on Monday) the other day because I thought the 1.51 price (1/2) was very big (I'd price us at 4/11).

Never touch Everton games. I've learnt this over the past 10 years. They always fuck you up either way.

Bolton should not be 7/2 away to MK Dons, at most they are a 9/4 shot so 7/2 is great value and I've stuck £30 on.

Small accumulator and trebles on Bolton, Blackpool, Yeovil and Morecambe all at 5/2 or bigger.

Northern Ireland away with the Faroes at 3/4 is surely a great price?
I reckon they'll win but am not entirely convinced by their midfield (apart from Dallas) so I've gone for £10 McAuley to score anytime @ 11/1 and £20 Dallas to score anytime @ 4/1.

I've stuck £50 on Walsall to beat Bury at 2.05.
Not a game I'll be getting involved with; I think Walsall are rightly favourites but there's little value in the price IMO. Bury are decent but I notice their best player Danny Mayor went off at half time last week so with a bit of luck (regarding your bet) he may miss the game thru injury. Good luck EC.

Thanks Pesam. I thought they were decent odds considering Bury haven't won in 5 games so far this season

They're not bad odds because Walsall look dangerous this season. I think Bury will finish mid table but they need to get Leon Clarke fit. I do think Walsall should win but I usually look for prices that are IMO at least 20% out from what I'd price them. I'd possibly price Walsall as low as 10/11 but wouldn't back them unless they were about 2.3 (11/8). I'm off now to check the team news on a few other games and will post any bets (if any) in about 20 minutes.

Actually spotted a possible decent bet straight away. Great game between Exeter who are a lovely footballing team against the league leader Orient who have a 100% record. I'd price both teams @ 13/8 to win (9/4 draw) so am happy to lay the Orient win at 6/5 for £40.

Chesterfield should not be favourites against Wigan. Although they've had a decent start to the season Chesterfield are nothing special and Wigan have a better team out today. I've layed Chesterfield for £100 (bigger bet than I wanted to do as I'm trying not to bet big on a weekly basis) @ 6/5 and another £15 on the Wigan win at almost 3/1.

Exeter, Wigan, Oldham and Doncaster in trebles and a 4 fold accumulator.
